Dear Families,
Welcome to The Naples Players Academy of Dramatic Arts (TNPA), where we believe in the transformational power of theatre and education working hand in hand. Thank you for joining us to learn more about this unique opportunity for your child. We are proud to introduce a program that is not only academically engaging and artistically rich, but that places each student at the center of their own story of growth, discovery, and purpose.
TNPA’s Full-time Academic Program was built on a simple yet powerful idea: young people thrive when they are seen, supported, and challenged to express their fullest selves. This program combines accredited academic instruction with professional-level performing arts training, offering a daily rhythm that fosters both intellectual growth and creative expression.
Our team is here to support your family in exploring whether TNPA is the right home for your student. Whether they are driven by a love of the stage, want to experience a personalized learning environment, or desire to build confidence and community, we are excited to help them grow.
Thank you for considering this journey with us.
Warmly,
Executive Artistic Director

At The Naples Players Academy of Dramatic Arts, our Full-time Academic and Afterschool Programs are deeply connected. The Full-time Academic Program offers an immersive, daily arts school experience, while the Afterschool Program extends learning to a broader community. Together, they form a dynamic ecosystem of mentorship, performance, and creative growth. For families seeking the most comprehensive, personalized training—we encourage you to explore the Full-time Academic Program path.
Both Full-time Academic and Afterschool students benefit from our state-of-the-art facilities and award-winning faculty—though the Full-time Academic Program students enjoy daily access to these resources, deeper instruction, and full-time only performances and enrichment events. This expanded engagement means stronger bonds, more consistent growth, and higher expectations.
Afterschool Program Participation for Full-time Academic Program Students:
Full-time Academic Program Students are encouraged—and in some cases, required—to participate in TNPA’s vibrant Afterschool Program. This allows them to:
• Expand into new disciplines
• Work with guest artists and rotating specialty faculty
• Collaborate with a wider network of students across age groups and skill levels
• Gain audition experience and stage time beyond the core curriculum
To foster community across the Academy, we host several signature events that blend Full-time Academic and Afterschool Program participants—making every student feel like they belong while celebrating the distinction of Full-time Academic Program enrollment. These events include:
• The TNPA Prom – A formal, inclusive celebration for all Academy students
• All-Academy Senior Showcase – Featuring standout talent from both programs
• Leadership Teams & Outreach Performances –Encouraging leadership, service, and shared purpose with integrated Leadership Circles and Outreach Performances
While both programs offer exceptional experiences, the Full-time Academic Program is designed for students ready to take their passion seriously— combining arts training, academic support, and personal mentorship every single day. The result? Students who are more prepared, more confident, and more connected to their future.
The TNP Academy is a hybrid educational school experience intentionally designed to:
• Integrate the arts into everyday learning so students grow academically, artistically, and personally
• Foster deep connections through small class sizes and collaboration
• Build confidence and communication skills that last a lifetime
• Offer flexibility and personalization in academics through Florida Virtual School (FLVS), supported by in-person guidance and tutoring
• Surround students with mentorship from professional artists and educators who care deeply about their development
• Root learning in purpose, joy, and relevance
Our model encourages students to take ownership of their growth, collaborate meaningfully with peers, and embrace challenges with resilience and grit.
If your child is looking to grow not just as a performer, but as a whole person, the Full-time Academic Program provides the structure, support, and inspiration to get them there.
Our team brings together seasoned educators, industry professionals, and youth development leaders who are passionate about holistic student growth.

of Technical Theater
Additionally, guest artists from across the country will regularly visit campus to lead masterclasses, teach for a trimester, and share real-world insights that expand students’ understanding of the professional world they’re preparing to enter.
Our academic instruction will be based on the Florida Virtual School (FLVS) curriculum and supported by full-time faculty who provide oneon-one guidance, tutoring, and personalized planning. The faculty, Director of Education, and advisors will monitor the students’ progress throughout the year.
Students follow a college-preparatory path in core subjects:
• English Language Arts
• Mathematics
• Science
• Social Studies
• Foreign Languages
Flexible pacing allows students to explore areas of strength while receiving support in areas that need additional attention.
Our arts curriculum is structured to provide depth and progression across four key disciplines:
• Acting & Scene Study – Foundations, technique, emotional authenticity, improvisation
• Voice & Music – Vocal health, musical theatre repertoire, ensemble singing, solo performance
• Dance & Movement – Jazz, ballet, modern, choreography, physical storytelling
• Stagecraft & Design – Scenic, lighting, costume, and prop creation; stage management
Students have the opportunity to perform and gain a variety of experiences in fully produced plays and musicals, learn from working artists, and gain real-world experience in technical theatre.
TNPA prepares students for graduation with a full Florida-certified high school diploma, college readiness skills, and performing arts credentials.
• Academic Monitoring: Students meet regularly with academic advisors.
• College Counseling: College essay support, FAFSA guidance, SAT Prep, and audition prep.
• Portfolio Development: Students graduate with portfolios, performance reels, and transcripts.
• Transcript Management: TNPA supports each student’s FLVS transcript alignment and elective tracking.
At TNPA, we believe a well-balanced schedule empowers students to thrive—not just as performers, but as learners and individuals. Each week blends core academics with dedicated performing arts blocks, rotating focus across disciplines such as acting, dance, music, and design. The A/B structure allows for deep dives into specific subjects while making space for rehearsals, enrichment, and individualized support.
Our trimester format ensures students receive focused instruction in both academic content and progressive arts training across the year. It also allows for regular benchmarks, reset points, and performance cycles that help students stay motivated and on track.
It’s a rhythm that reflects how students really learn: with structure, movement, and room to grow

Grade at Enrollment: 6th Grade
Lila attended a middle school with limited access to arts programming. She and her family were eager to find an environment that nurtures a strong passion for musical theatre and provides the opportunity to explore creative interests more deeply across all areas of learning.
Lila had always loved musical theatre. She sang constantly, memorized Broadway cast albums, and choreographed dances in her bedroom. However, her middle school didn’t offer much theatre. Her academic classes were large and fast-paced — leaving her struggling to stay interested.
Lila’s parents recognized her deep desire for a more engaging learning environment—one with greater structure, meaningful guidance, and more opportunities to pursue what she truly loves. They saw her seeking a place where her creativity could flourish and where learning felt both purposeful and empowering.
That’s when they found The Naples Players Academy of Dramatic Arts.
On her first day in the Full-time Academic Program, Lila was welcomed by a mentor student who showed her around the theatre. Her academic classes were small, calm, and guided. She met weekly with a learning advisor who helped track her academic goals—and who helped break big assignments into manageable parts.
In the afternoons, she took dance, voice, and acting techniques. She couldn’t believe she had one-on-one vocal coaching two or three times a week. She called it “the best part of school.”
Lila performed in her first group number for the fall cabaret and helped run sound cues for a full production—learning backstage tech along the way.
(continued on next page)
By 7th grade, Lila had grown in every area. Her math confidence returned with regular tutoring. But the biggest change? Her stage presence. She landed a solo in the winter showcase, was now in an advanced musical theatre dance class, and began preparing audition materials for the summer productions. Lila also joined the student leadership council and helped plan TNPA’s first combined Prom.
She still loved singing in her bedroom—but now, she had an audience. And she had a plan.
Lila entered 8th grade with new confidence—and a growing resume. She was cast as a supporting lead in the fall musical, took part in a musical theatre masterclass with a Broadway guest artist, and served as assistant choreographer for a junior production.
Academically, her FLVS courses became more rigorous, but she had the tools to manage them. Her TNPA advisor helped her plan out goals for high school, and her academic tutor introduced scripts and librettos to bolster writing skills while feeding her theatre interests.
In 9th grade, Lila became a leader in the TNPA high-school leadership council. She welcomed new students, led vocal warm-ups, and worked in the costume shop during rehearsals. She began taking honors English and history courses and continued tutoring in math, developing study habits that made her feel in control.
She performed in multiple shows and received her first recognition from a local theatre adjudication.
Her sights shifted from “I love theatre” to “This is what I want to do with my life.”
By 10th and 11th grade, Lila’s focus sharpened. She met regularly with TNPA’s SAT & college counselor, completed her first college audition prep class, and began filming materials for pre-screened applications. She choreographed a number for a younger class, served as rehearsal captain, and earned a scholarship to a pre-college musical theatre intensive.
She also took creative writing and psychology as electives, exploring ways to blend her passions for performance and education.
In her final year, Lila directed a one-act play, led a vocal ensemble, and presented a senior capstone project on inclusive theatre education. She was cast as the lead in the spring musical and selected as a student speaker for graduation.
She applied to six BFA Musical Theatre programs, receiving callbacks and scholarship offers from three. Ultimately, she chose a mid-size university where she could double major in Musical Theatre and Education— determined to someday start her own youth theatre program.
Lila’s journey is a testament to the impact of arts-integrated education. Through the TNPA Full-time Academic Program, she found her footing academically, creatively, and socially. She didn’t just graduate with credits. She graduated with confidence, direction, and joy.
At TNPA, we don’t just help students learn. We help them launch.
