Message from Head of the Department I am delighted that you are showcasing your interest to know more about us by virtue of this information handout. We at the Computer Science and Engineering department offer one of the best Computer Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering undergraduate program aimed at the generation Z. We have carefully crafted our undergraduate program to offer elective focus in ten major areas of computing. Apart from these, design projects through-out the program highlight life-long outcome based, research led teaching pedagogy. With these choices, we hope to fulfil the requirement of the industry as well as quench the thirst of budding professionals. Apart from this department runs postgraduate programs with ever-growing focus on research resulting in many top-level publications by the faculty members. Good number of research projects from government and industry are awarded to CSE faculty members, which in-turn enhance their exposure, teaching quality and research acumen. We are situated in new learning block at TIET, exhibiting state-of-the art lab/research infrastructure unparalleled in this part of the world. This infrastructure houses 27 undergraduate/postgraduate laboratories, 15 research/doctoral student labs and a data centre; leading to more incubations, creative ideations and computing professionals coming out of the portals of CSE department. Introduction The Department of Computer Science and Engineering offers 4-year B.E. programme in Computer Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering and Computer Science & Business Systems. It also offers M.E. in Computer Science and Engineering, M.E. in Software Engineering and MCA. At the undergraduate level, the Department lays emphasis on Algorithm Analysis and Design, Data Structures, Software Engineering, Operating Systems, Computer Graphics, Database and information Systems and Computer Networks as core computing subjects.
