ADAPTIVE REUSE HOTEL DESIGN
NEWH GREEN VOICE COMPETITION
The design concept for Hotel de Eden focuses on achieving harmony between plant and water elements, drawing inspiration from the symmetrical gardens, pathways, fountains, and indoor reflecting pools found in the Borujerdi Historical House in Kashan. The interior space incorporates elements from traditional paintings, geometric shapes, and symbols, showcasing a balanced interplay between water flow and plant vines. Hotel de Eden aims to provide guests with unique experiences while preserving and celebrating the rich architectural heritage of Iran.
Junior Partner Project
This project is adaptive reuse. The existing building will be abandoned textile factory in the historic city of Yazd, Iran.

Design Philosophy
Hotel de Eden transcends being merely a place to sit and sip wine; it offers a range of engaging activities and tranquil moments to connect with nature after the hustle and bustle of daily life. The hotel aims to provide unforgettable experiences for its guests, making it more than just a place to stay, but a destination to create lasting memories.
Incorporating fruit plants into the hotel design promotes sustainable green living through natural air conditioning and self-sufficient, healthy food sourcing. The design technology emphasizes the use of local materials and natural resources to foster a strong connection between people and nature, ensuring long-term well-being. The hotel’s enclosure wall will be constructed using mud and earthy materials, showcasing the rich, eco-friendly local resources of Iran. Research Booklet

The goal of this community space design is to optimize open areas by ensuring public accessibility while maintaining aesthetic appeal.
The design process prioritizes the creation of spaces that are practical, functional, and visually appealing.
The community space is distributed across two distinct floors: the main floor is dedicated to active recreation, while the second floor offers a more tranquil environment for private study or social interactions.
Design Inspiration
From the 1920s Art Deco design style, this community space incorporates sleek geometric forms and stylized shapes using manmade materials to captivate viewers. By integrating patterns and shapes characteristic of Art Deco, the design subtly evokes this style while introducing an abundance of detail and unconventional materials such as neon lights, textured plastics, exposed concrete, and chunky plaster. The result is a reimagined Art Deco aesthetic infused with a contemporary touch.

“Modern Industrialism meets German Landscape”
Our Senex office in Munich, Germany combines the curves of the Bavarian mountains with industrial materials of modern building technology. Landscape meets the city with curvilinear walls to guide movement throughout the space and Germany’s greenery to bring life into a world of glass and metal.
Industrialism can often be “moody” and “cold” but here we bring light and softness all the way through the space to promote wellbeing. The space is sophisticated while being welcoming
Spanning the second and third floors of the building, the design features a flexible workplace that can readily adapt to the evolving requirements of its occupants.
Design Concept
Movement, curves, and natural colors bring the landscape element to every area
Materiality of exposed wood, concrete, leather, and lack metal brings the industrial to each space
The main areas for everyone are the Reception, Stair Lounge, and Community Space
Areas are flexible and adaptable for changing needs
Curvilinear, organic flow of the spaces adds natural comfort and wayfinding

HISTORY INSPIRED INTERIOR
ART NOUVEAU
In this project, I designed an interior space that celebrates the elegance and organic forms of the Art Nouveau movement. The furniture pieces feature flowing lines, intricate patterns, and botanical motifs, seamlessly integrating the natural world with the built environment. By incorporating elements of Art Nouveau, the space exudes a timeless charm, providing a visually captivating and immersive experience that transports visitors to a bygone era of artistic expression and sophistication.

Design Inspiration
“AquaMajesty: The Ethereal Flow” is a design sculpture inspired by Mid-journey that encapsulates the exquisite harmony of water movement and the gentle sway of seaweed beneath the ocean’s surface. Drawing inspiration from nature’s fluid dance, the sculpture showcases a captivating fusion of organic shapes and curves. The intricate patterns, reminiscent of undulating seaweed, instill a sense of tranquility and evoke the serene beauty of life beneath the waves.
AquaMajesty is created using the Virtual Reality Oculus Quest 2 and the modeling software Gravity Sketch. It stands as a testament to the ocean’s endless allure and the enchanting balance of motion and stillness found within its depths.
Design Philosophy
AquaMajesty: The Ethereal Flow aligns with the project’s goals of promoting personal growth, long-term well-being, and a more sustainable consumer culture. The sculpture enriches the retail environment, encouraging a deeper emotional connection to the space and the transformative experiences it offers.
AquaMajesty: The Ethereal Flow
Hyper-consumerism: Excessive consumption driven by societal pressures and emotional spending
Consequences: Social anxiety, unsustainable mental relief, and negative impact on mental health
Vicious cycle: Overspending on non-essential items, experiencing guilt and fear of missing out, and resorting to shopping as a coping mechanism
