Password Attack Passwords are most people’s access verification tool of choice. An attacker can either find the password themselves or pay someone on the inside to get it for them.

Be Cyber Aware October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and Texas Bay wants to take this moment to remind our members to stay diligent in doing your part in staying protected against the different forms of cyber-attacks. A cyber-attack is an offensive, unauthorized system/ network access by a third party. It aims at destroying or stealing confidential information from a computer network, information system, or personal device.

Phishing Attack A phishing attack occurs when a malicious actor sends emails that seem to be coming from trusted, legitimate sources to grab sensitive information from the target.

Attacks to look out for: Malware Attack Malware infects a computer and changes how it functions, destroys data, or spies on the user or network traffic as it passes through.

Ransomware Ransomware is a type of malware that prevents you from accessing your files until you pay a ransom.
