After launching a collaborative pilot program in the spring of 2022, TLC successfully continued working with Teton County School District and Jackson Hole Children’s Museum to expand the reach and depth of our joint afterschool Enrichment clubs. Teachers and staff from all three organizations have worked closely to further align our afterschool clubs to students’ schoolday learning while integrating socialemotional learning, critical thinking and creativity through engaging Project-Based Learning activities.
Additionally, through collaboration with Teton County School District’s transportation department, we were able to offer an evening bus from Munger

Mountain Elementary School to Colter Elementary School for our highest needs afterschool club students. Throughout all three club sessions, TLC filled 100% of the allocated spaces on the evening bus and still had a waitlist each season. Upon calculating the approximate dollars saved in gas mileage, we estimate the evening bus option saved families a total of $17,295.
Overall, these collaborative efforts allowed TLC to serve more students in our afterschool clubs this year than we have in any previous year.
TLC provides another opportunity outside of school for students to meet new people, build their confidence and build upon their academic and social skills. This all sets them up for success.
