HISTORICAL SPOTLIGHT

SARA WORKS

Arguably the best player in the history of Cypress College women’s basketball, Works is the school’s all-time leader in points scored (1,395) and second in rebounding (578) despite having her junior college career ended prematurely by a knee injury. She also holds the school record for points in a single game - man or woman - when she tallied 45 against American River in December of 1994. During her career, the Lady Chargers went 45-22 and advanced to the State quarterfinals in 1993-94.
