The world has been affected by the COVID-19 since December 2019. PISAI project contributes to "Sustainable Agriculture" that supplies good food for human beings particularly, at this time of global crisis. On behalf of the PISAI project, we would like to extend our best wishes for your health and well-being during this challenging time, together with our hope for a speedy and safe resolution of the crisis.

LETTER

Project activities Staff activities Students activities & Module PISAI project has run all the 3 modules successfully for 2 consecutive years. The Thai partner universities and the teaching staff from the EU partners have worked hard to create and organize the student learning outcomes in each module and project courses. The DDMP program under the PISAI project has been enriched by these modules. 24 students from four Thai partners universities participated in total.

PISAI dissemination activity

Asst. Prof. Dr. Chutima Tantikitti gave a presentation on the Double Degree Master Program under PISAI Project during the meeting with the Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Science, University of Muhammadiyah Malang at East Java, Indonesia on 7 February, 2020.

PISAI Skype Meeting for Jan – Mar 2020

Project partners both Thai universities and the EU institutions participated in the monthly meeting of the project. The activities and progress of PISAI as well as the tasks and issues for consideration are reported and discussed. To assure all activities can be implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic, all partners are dedicated to keep working with full effort on the project.


Preparing of scientific conference

The PSU team has brainstormed and prepared a tentative program of the project scientific conference entitled “The First International Conference on Sustainable Agriculture and Aquaculture (ICSAA)”. Conference timeline as well as submission procedure have been discussed and posted on the PISAI project web page and Facebook since March 2020. Staff activities Thai Staff attending Module 3

PISAI staff from PSU attended the Module 3 on “Challenges and Opportunities for Sustainable Agricultural Production” at Rai Suwan, Pak-Chong district, Nakhon Ratchasima province. The module 3 was organized by KU, SupAgro, UCPH and UHEL between 24 February to 7 March 2020.

Students activities Ms. Chattamas conducted an experiment on the edible flower production in the greenhouse system at Khlong Hoi Khong research station of PSU.

Ms. Wantanee Meeloon Home university: KKU Host university: PSU

On the 7th of February 2020, Miss Wantanee Meeloon successfully defended her thesis entitled “Evaluation of Nutrient in Plant Parts and Yield of Rubber Tree Clone RRIM600 and RRIT251 in Northeast Thailand” at Faculty of Agriculture, Khon Kaen University.
