Las actividades en Rancho San Isidro inician a las 5:00 am. Lo primero es preparar el café. Después, comienzan el proceso para la realización de sus productos que incluyen queso y asaderas: lavan los baldes, tinas y coladores para pasar a los corrales a ordeñar las cabras y vacas. Al terminar de ordeñar las cabras, las sueltan al campo y regresan aproximadamente a las 6:00 pm.

Para elaborar el queso asadera, cuelan la leche y la dejan reposar por media hora en tiempo de frío, y algunos minutos más en tiempo de calor. Una vez que la mezcla cuaja, inicia la producción de este ejemplar lácteo. El procedimiento es parte de un ofcio aprendido que le heredó su suegra. Sus productos se envían a Santa Rosalía y comunicades cercanas para ser comercializados con éxito.

Elsa, junto a su esposo José Luis, nos comparten su agradecimiento hacia el pueblo y a los visitantes que compran sus productos para ser degustados en diversas presentaciones.

Durante nuestra visita a Rancho San Isidro, fuimos testigos de una convivencia amena, amistades duraderas y visitas inesperadas, gracias a los maravillosos anftriones que son. ¡Tuvimos el privilegio de probar la cosecha fresca de sus árboles frutales y montar a caballo!

Rancho San Isidro's daily activities begin at 5:00 am. The cofee needs to be made frst. Then, after washing the buckets, tubs, and strainers, they start manufacturing their products, which include cheese and roasting, before going to the corrals to milk the goats and cows. Finally, they milk the goats, let them into the felds, and return at approximately 6:00 pm.

To make the Asaderas cheese, they strain the milk and leave it to stand for half an hour in cold weather and a few minutes longer in hot weather. Then, when the mixture begins to curdle, they produce this dairy item. The skill she learned to perform this technique was inherited from her mother-in-law. Finally, her goods are delivered to Santa Rosalía and neighboring towns to be successfully marketed.

Elsa and, her husband, José Luis appreciate the town and the visitors that come seeking to sample their products in diferent presentations.

We witnessed conviviality, lasting friendships, and unexpected visits during our visit to Rancho San Isidro. Thanks to our gracious hosts who live there, we had the privilege of tasting the fresh harvest of their fruit trees and going horseback riding!

Elsa Villavicencio Méndez, quien radica en el Rancho San Isidro desde los 22 años contrajo nupcias con José Luis López López. Actualmente, celebran 29 años de matrimonio y tres hijos: Cristian, recibido en derecho, Verónica que es maestra, y Jorge, quien estudia en el tecnológico de Santa Rosalía. Nació en Rancho San Javier dentro del municipio de Mulegé.

Elsa Villavicencio Méndez, who has lived in Rancho San Isidro since she was 22 years old and married José Luis López López. They are currently celebrating 29 years of marriage and have three children: Cristian, a law graduate, Verónica, a teacher, and Jorge, who is studying at the Santa Rosalía technology school. Elsa was born in Rancho San Javier in the municipality of Mulegé.
