University of the West of Scotland is an award winning institution that traces its origins back to 1897 when the original institution was founded in Paisley in the west of Scotland Since then, the University has grown, expanding its provision and presence across the west and Scotland and the wider UK. University of the West of Scotland was formed in August 2007 through the merger of the University of Paisley with Bell College. UWS now has four campuses in Scotland, in Paisley, Lanarkshire, Dumfries and Ayr UWS has had a presence in London since 2015 and our innovative new campus in London Docklands opened in 2020
