Crystallization and overall efficiency optimization
Plastic Systems presents the CRN crystallizer, designed to enhance the crystallization process and optimize the drying phase of plastic materials
The CRN is a crystallizer designed to enhance the crystallization process and optimize the drying phase of plastic materials. This machine, primarily used for processing materials in the form of flakes or granules, is the result of an innovative design aimed at ensuring high efficiency and consistent quality in polymer processing.
Operation and features of the CRN
At the core of the CRN crystallizer is its low-speed agitation system with a vertical shaft, minimizing dust generation during the process. The design of the CRN has been specifically conceived to surpass the glass transition temperature of plastic materials, a critical point for crystallization. This ensures homogeneous crystallization and optimal material flow without compromising the final product’s quality. The heating process and temperature control are managed by a PLC, which regulates the process temperature and allows for continuous monitoring of operating parameters through temperature and level sensors. Another crucial feature is the insulation, which reduces heat loss and improves overall energy efficiency, maintaining a constant temperature in the material during treatment. Additionally, the hopper is designed to handle poorly flowing materials, such as regrind or flakes, ensuring a continuous flow without blockages.
The ventilation system of the CRN is another strong point. With a high-flow ventilation unit, the machine ensures proper heating and air distribution through the material, contributing to increased crystallization and dehumidification kinetics. This helps reduce the moisture content of the material to below 800 ppm, a significant improvement that enhances the quality of the final product.
Solutions for easy maintenance
Access to the interior of the crystallizer is facilitated by a large hinged and insulated door, allowing for quick and safe inspection of internal components. These technical details contribute to making the CRN a machine that is easy to manage and maintain.
Applications and capacity
The CRN is available in various versions, with models ranging from 50 liters to over 7000 liters in capacity. This wide range of sizes enables the crystallizer to handle even the highest hourly throughputs, making it adaptable to different production needs. Due to its versatility, it is particularly suited for processing plastic materials in
supply of material, while the cyclonic depowdering and condensation system ensures effective removal of contaminants, maintaining the purity of the processed material. This system is particularly important for maintaining high quality standards, preventing dust or other impurities from compromising the final result.
Conclusions
In summary, the CRN crystallizer for plastic materials represents an advanced and highly efficient solution for processing flakes and granules. With its functional design, high-flow condensation, and ventilation systems, the CRN ensures excellent performance, optimizing crystallization and improving the overall efficiency of the production process. With models capable of handling both small and large throughputs, the CRN proves to be an indispensable ally for companies working in the plastic processing industry.
Sytrama: Sustainability and responsibility
Sytrama is focusing on two approaches: Reducing its own energy consumption and developing environment-friendly, low-energy products and services for its customers
The themes of corporate responsibility and sustainability have highly increased in the last years and Sytrama has taken those arguments into account daily. The focus is on climate change but also on the concrete requests of the legislator. Sytrama has put in place a bundle of responsibility measures in all sectors where it works. The goal is to build entrepreneurial success in a sustainable way, for Sytrama’s stakeholders but most importantly for our future. Every day, Sytrama creates long-term added value for its customers that is ecologically compatible, socially correct, economically rewarding and finally with high prospects for our future. Environment
Economic and ecological sustainability has always been in Sytrama’s DNA. To reach this goal, Sytrama is focusing on two approaches. The first one is to significantly reduce its own energy consumption and the waste prevention, reduction, and recycling all the materials that can have a
new life. The second approach is to develop low-energy products and services that respect the environment as much as possible for its customers. For example, Sytrama robots can be equipped with an energy saving system to reduce compressed air consumption. By a special circuit, the suction system is deactivated, fostering a reduction of compressed air consumption up to 75%. This saving needs to be seen from an energetic and economics point of view.
Another measure in support of Sytrama’s green policy is the energy recovery system, similar to the systems mounted on hybrid cars. This system allows, during the deceleration phase of the robot axes, the accumulation of energy that can be used during peak consumption working phases of the robot.
Incentives for Industry 4. 0 has led to more and more robots being equipped with remote modules connecting to the corporate network, granting two fundamental benefits. Firstly, the connection to the net has allowed Sytrama support service to exponentially increase remote interventions, gaining in speed, efficiency and cost reduction. Nevertheless, remote intervention avoids the production of emissions due to the “physical” transfer of the technician. The second benefits the connection of robots or working cells to the management software of companies. The exchange of data and the monitoring of fundamental parameters have allowed companies that have been able to exploit this data to optimize production, with clear energetic and economic benefits.
Finally, the quality in Sytrama robots allows Sytrama to offer a long-lasting
life in all its automations, amortizing the initial investment.
Social
The social macro area refers to Sytrama staff and people who get in contact with Sytrama, such as partners, customers and suppliers. Sytrama labour force is the most valuable asset for the company. In fact, regular training courses are fundamental to let your employees growing and improving their skills. Retaining employees and their knowhow is a top priority to Sytrama.
Finally, Sytrama with the entire Nissei Plastics Group organizes and carries out events such as “open house” events in Italy and in the other subsidiaries abroad, in order to promote its products and making the quality of its automations touchable with hands, keeping alive the direct human relations with our customers.
The main goals in Sytrama are embedded in its mission and vision, but also shared at every level and in every single business department of the company, as well as throughout the Nissei Plastic Group. Sytrama, your partner for sustainable automation!
Sustainable automotive and electric markets: SIRMAX’S global challenges in 2025
After celebrating sixty years in business and successfully concluding 2024, Sirmax Group is looking ahead to the challenges of 2025 with confidence
After celebrating sixty years in business and successfully concluding 2024, Sirmax Group, headquartered in Cittadella (Pauda) and specializing in the production of thermoplastic compounds for various application sectors – including automotive, household appliances, furniture, electrical, construction – is looking ahead to the challenges of 2025 with confidence.
The new year started in the best possible way, marked by the achievement of the Great Place to Work® certification for all Italian plants (Cittadella-Padova,
Tombolo-Padova, San Vito al Tagliamento-Pordenone, PianigaVenezia, Salsomaggiore TermeParma, Isola Vicentina-Vicenza). This recognition, which builds on the 2023 certification, reaffirms the company’s commitment to fostering a stimulating environment and a positive culture focused on wellbeing and continuous improvement for all employees.
Sirmax will maintain its presence at the industry’s leading trade fairs, from Italy (Mecspe and GreenPlast) to the United States (Plastics Recycling Conference, EAV SHOW, and TPO), from France (Nemmo) to Germany (VDI, K, and EUBC), as well as at Electro-Plast in Belgium. Notably, the company will participate in the fourth edition of Plástico Brasil – International Plastic and Rubber Exhibition, one of Latin America’s most significant trade fairs for the plastics and rubber industry, taking place from March 24 to 28, 2025. Brazil, where Sirmax operates a production plant in Jundiaí (São Paulo), remains an increasingly strategic market as the company continues to expand and gain market share. With the Latin American market experiencing steady growth, Sirmax is ready to seize new opportunities, focusing primarily on the automotive sector while also monitoring developments in other industries.
With a strong emphasis on sustainability, the company’s key research and development investments are increasingly directed toward producing high-quality polypropylene compounds with postconsumer recycled content, offering mechanical properties comparable to those of virgin compounds. Sirmax is also advancing projects in the automotive sector that enhance structural and aesthetic solutions, improving mechanical performance, temperature resistance, and UV protection for vehicle interiors. Encouraged by positive trends in recent years, the company is considering further investments in this area.
On a global scale, Sirmax will continue to strengthen its presence in the electrical and electronics
sector in 2025. This sector, which saw significant growth for the company in the first half of 2024, requires highperformance compounds that meet stringent international standards. To address this demand, Sirmax is increasing production of flameretardant compounds – materials designed to suppress, reduce, and delay the spread of flames –and has expanded its facilities in the United States and Poland. This aligns with the market’s increasing focus on fire safety and the growing adoption of electric batteries, which is driving manufacturers to prioritize safer materials. Sirmax’s self-extinguishing compounds are formulated not only for automotive components but also for a range of applications, including plinths, hobs, and power tool parts such as electric welders. Additionally, halogen-free formulations are available. To meet the growing demand for sustainable materials, the company also offers a broad portfolio of products with a lower carbon footprint (compared to prime virgin), formulated with preand post-consumer raw materials, suitable for both civil and industrial applications.
“Today’s market presents significant challenges and is becoming increasingly demanding,” says Massimo Pavin, President and CEO of Sirmax Group. “Thanks to product diversification, organizational renewal, and the speed that has always set us apart, we are ready to meet our customers’ needs and are working to raise the bar even higher. We look forward to 2025 with confidence.”
Strabag will build a new expo hall for Targi Kielce
Targi Kielce’s priority investment is entering the implementation phase. On Thursday, 23 January, Strabag signed the contract to design and build a new exhibition hall and reconstruct the existing one. The combined space of both facilities amounts to over 15,500 square meters of usable space on the ground floor and 3,000 square meters on the mezzanine
The new facility in the centre’s infrastructure will be four times larger than the currently largest hall, no. 5. Work is scheduled to begin in the spring after the biggest exhibition of the season – the Agrotech Agricultural Technology Fair.
“Today is a historic moment and a massive milestone in the development of Targi Kielce, and Targi Kielce stands for professionalism, the company that competes with itself and wins every year. And the fact that this company’s name includes the word “Kielce” is a source of great pride and satisfaction for us,” said Agata Wojda, Mayor of Kielce, during the ceremonial signing of the agreement. The Mayour added, “I do not envy you this pressure, nor the management of Targi Kielce or the Strabag company, but I know that you are a solid partner.”
The project involves the construction of hall 8 and the reconstruction of hall 7; The expo halls will be combined. Mezzanines will be built at the connection point with additional restaurant and congress spaces and views of the exhibition space.
The building will be 15 meters high, 73 meters wide and over 237 meters long in total. The cost of building the facility will not exceed PLN 100 million.
The initial phase of the “design and build” tender began in August 2024, its decision was made in January, and on Thursday, 23 January the agreement was signed with the contractor. – The tedious and very meticulous procedure allowed us to carefully examine each offer. In the final phase, we were in talks with several companies; we were convinced that the selected contractor would reliably fulfill the task. There is an intense period
ahead of us because we are also running our exhibition activities in parallel, says Dr. Andrzej Mochoń, President of the Management Board of Targi Kielce.
The company will design the new facility, and it can also use the designs that were created for Targi Kielce in 2018, when the company was preparing to build a new expo hall. The plans were abandoned at the time due to the pandemic.
Construction work will begin in March 2025, and the hall is expected to be ready by the end of July 2026 so that it can be used by exhibitors first at the International Defense Industry Exhibition in September 2026. “We hope that we will meet expectations and that in 17 months, a facility will be built that you will be able to boast about on the international arena”, said Joanna Popczyk, Financial Director and Proxy of Strabag.
The expansion of expo infrastructure is necessary due to the growing interest of companies in participating in trade fairs. “Since 2005, we have been building additional temporary halls for the Agrotech agricultural technology fair; This additional area in temporary halls reached up to 18 thousand square meters,” explains President Andrzej Mochoń. In recent years, the need to build temporary halls has also been the case for fairs from the Industrial Spring group and the International Defence Industry Exhibition. New trade fairs keep growing, including the Enex renewable energy fair and the Roof-Forum roofing industry fair. In the case of MSPO and Agrotech, we are pushed to limit the rented space, and the reserve list is long.
The new facility will be built in a place that previously served as a parking lot; Targi Kielce will prepare a car park on the plot located at Wystawowa Street. This project is already being implemented. A temporary expo hall will also be built, which will operate throughout the construction period. 4,000 square meters with
full technical infrastructure will make inconvenience regarding their investment unnoticed for exhibitors.
The new hall is a huge opportunity for the further development of the PLASTPOL trade fair. Thanks to the new spaces, we will be able to offer exhibitors additional areas, allowing for an even better display of products and services. The increased exhibition space will enable a more diverse offering and better event organization, which will certainly attract an even larger number of participants and visitors, strengthening the position of the PLASTPOL fair as a key event in the industry.
We invite you to the PLASTPOL Trade Fair from May 20 to 23, 2025, at Targi Kielce.
Event details are available at: https://www.targikielce.pl/en/plastpol https://www.linkedin.com/showcase/ plastpolfair

With his words reported below the President of the Magic Group, Mr. Ferruccio Giacobbe, devotes the moon’s landing of his company on the planet of industrial machines and he does it always in an innovative and futuristic way.
“Innovation is and always will be the engine that fuel growth and development of Magic. Up to date no one in the world has ever built a completely electrified accumulator head of big size, Magic, which always looks ahead and, driven by this philosophy, has understood that even in the field of industrial machines the complete electrification will become a determining
and indispensable factor. We did it in the past with the continuous extrusion technology for machine up to 60 Tons for the production, per example, in 6+6 cavities for 5 litres containers; we do it today also with the industrial machines for containers up to 280 litres. Soon we will do in fact a second Open Day to show the world the new transfer machine with all electric technology of 80-100 Tons for containers up to 280 litres. This machine will have an incredible saving for our clients in terms of energy consumption equal to almost 180.000 Euro per year. We are led to think that electrification is all about the necessity of the energetic economy. But this is one of the aspects, even though very important. The electric motor means also more precision and repeatability in the execution of the movements, that impacts on the efficiency of the machine, in lighter articles and shortest working cycles and with less wastes. It will be easy for our clients to understand how advantageous and innovative is to produce with a machine which consume 50-60% less, that thanks to its stability allows shortest working cycles and allows to produce lighter articles and even more with reduced maintenance costs of 50%.
We are sure that orientation to ’Green”, to be effectively implemented, must bring to our clients even advantages in terms of profit. In fact, in 25 years and 1800 electric machines sold as well as having “saved” almost 3 billions of Kg in CO2, our clients have saved more than 500 million euro in electric energy. To these many various millions must be added for the economy in maintenance costs. We want our clients, with our patented technology, win the complex challenge of the market; we aspire to become their partner, grow with them and become their reference point in the field.”

Promeco: Nearly 30 years of excellence in waste recycling
Promeco® has evolved into a leading provider of waste recycling technologies and an active player in innovation in chemical recycling and the future of sustainability
Since its foundation, Promeco has built a solid reputation as a leading provider of waste recycling technologies. Over the past three decades, the company has evolved from manufacturing waste treatment machinery to becoming one of the top producers of chemical recycling plants.
Today, Promeco is the only company worldwide capable of supplying the entire range of technologies required for a chemical recycling plant, covering every stage of the process: from feedstock preparation to compacting, pyrolysis/catalysis, and finally, condensation and liquefaction.
Promeco operates in four main sectors: plastic recycling, organic-agricultural-animal waste recycling, paper recycling, and wood recycling.
Among these, plastic recycling plays a crucial role due to the wide range of solutions developed, including:
• Complete chemical recycling plants.
• Pellet production from post-consumer and industrial LDPE, HDPE, and PP.
• Recycling plants for mixed plastic waste (Plasmix).
• RDF plants for the production of refuse-derived fuel. Thanks to innovation and sustainability, Promeco continues to lead the way in developing advanced solutions for the recycling industry.
Participation in the annual Chemical Recycling
Europe Forum
As one of the founding members of the Chemical Recycling Europe Association, Promeco proudly participated in the 2024 CRE Annual Conference, held last November in Brussels, Belgium. This premier event gathered over 120 key stakeholders from across the value chain, including industry leaders, policymakers, operators, and investors, to discuss critical topics shaping the future of chemical recycling.
Key topics addressed during the conference included:
• Overcoming systemic and regulatory barriers to unlock the full potential of chemical recycling.
• Navigating the regulatory framework for waste and chemical recycling.
• Developing supply chains and investment opportunities to tackle the global plastic waste crisis.
Recently, the mechanical recycling sector has faced significant challenges, experiencing a decline compared to the previous year. This downturn is mainly due to the sharp drop in sales prices of secondary raw materials, a consequence of increased competition from low-cost virgin polymers imported from outside the EU.
These challenges highlight the urgent need to develop chemical recycling solutions. Chemical recycling reconverts plastic waste into its basic components, enabling the production of new plastic indistinguishable from virgin plastics. This process allows for the recycling of complex plastic waste, such as multilayer packaging films, which cannot be processed using mechanical recycling. The integration of mechanical and chemical recycling technologies could increase plastic recycling rates from the current 10-15% to 50% or even higher.

Lawer: Weigh smarter to work better
With its automatic weighing systems, Lawer can optimize the production process ensuring accuracy, repeatability, traceability and efficiency
Precision, repeatability, traceability, and efficiency of manpower are essential elements that companies in the colour masterbatch sector are looking for to produce their products. Lawer, with its automatic weighing systems can optimize the production process ensuring accuracy, repeatability, traceability and efficiency, reducing the need of manpower and eliminating the “human error” factor. Within the range of products offered by Lawer, there are two specific solutions for the colour masterbatch and plastics industries, one for the production (Supersincro) and one for the laboratory (TD-MATIC).
With Supersincro is possible to load products from silos (cap. 380 l), hoppers (up to 1.850 l) and big bags, depending on the customer’s needs and the available space. The machine can also have a storage station with manual or automatic interchangeable silos (cap. 20 or 70 l), where it is possible to keep products of rare use or products which is needed very little quantities. The loading system can be by gravity or vacuum, is facilitated by tools such as loading pumps, bag transport trolleys and barcode scanners, which ensure the correct identification and handling of the products. Moreover, Supersincro, thanks to advanced suction systems and filters, prevents the escape of volatile dust, creating a healthy and safe environment for the operators.
A double dosing screw (equipped with anticlogging devices) allows to weigh the products directly in bags of different sizes (from 9 to 36 l) created automatically
by the machine. The bag is then automatically sealed and released on a conveyor belt or in a box, ready for the next process. All the weighing process, thanks to the last generation of servo motors, can also contribute to reduce energy consumption up to 30% compared to traditional technology.
Supersincro is a smart system that can communicate with a management software and provide useful data for the quality control and the optimization of the production, such as CPK for repeatability and OEE for production efficiency. Furthermore, Supersincro is compliant with Industry 4.0 regulations, which means that it can connect and exchange data with other machines and systems in the factory.
TD-MATIC is a laboratory machine, able to automatically weigh little quantities of powders thanks to a microdosing screw inside the silo. It can be configured with a multi-level rack with 82 or 112 mini-silos, with a capacity of 2,7 l each, and 36 beakers (cap. 1600 cc) where to put the weighed recipe.
The three axes robotic arm is specifically studied for mini-silos handling, to move them from the parking to the weighing station (resolution of the scale 0.001 g) and also for the beakers handling. TD-MATIC is equipped with an efficient suction system which allows to keep the weighing area clean and to avoid internal contaminations.
TD-MATIC communicates with a Lawer management software, every mini-silo is identified by a barcode and a RFID tag, to avoid human errors and to permit the traceability of the recipe. It generates sophisticated reports and permits integration with external systems (MES) thus falling into the Industry 4.0 concept

SMI manufactures bottling plants and packaging machines with an innovative design, equipped with IoT technology, providing to its customers, located all over the world, with smart solutions, able to meet their requirements in terms of competitiveness, production efficiency, operational flexibility, energy saving, easy management and monitoring of the whole production process.
In Mexico, the company Embotelladora Bepensa Cancun, a division of Bepensa Bebidas, an important bottler of The CocaCola Company brands, in order to respond to the growing market demands for Cristal bottled water, recently turned to SMI and ENOBERG for the supply of a complete line for bottling and packaging in 0.335 L / 0.5 L / 0.6 L / 1 L and 1.2 L PET bottles.
A solid relationship of trust thanks to flexibility, timeliness and efficiency
The line installed in Cancun is the first of three lines for bottling and packaging the Cristal brand natural water supplied by SMI and ENOBERG to Bepensa Bebidas; the second was installed at the Merida plant, also in Mexico, and the third at the Dominican Republic plant. The collaboration between Bepensa Bebidas, SMI, ENOBERG and the Mexican subsidiary Smicentroamericana is the result of
a long-standing strategic partnership that allows Bepensa to have hightech machines and equipment and to make use of timely and efficient technical, commercial and aftersales consultancy.
The project that led Bepensa Bebidas to purchase 3 new bottling and packaging lines for Cristal natural water focused on a few simple aspects, first of all the need for an efficient and extremely flexible line solution to process 5 different formats of PET bottles within the same production line, followed by the speed of format changes and the timeliness in the delivery and installation of the systems.
The new line supplied to Embotelladora Bepensa Cancun, intended for the bottling of Cristal water, includes an integrated ECOBLOC® ERGON system consisting of a compact EBS 10 KL ERGON stretch-blow moulder by SMI and an electronic volumetric filling system for natural water HEVF/ ECO 60/94-12/94 by ENOBERG; for secondary and tertiary packaging, the Mexican company has chosen a solution that includes a CSK 40 F ERGON film-only shrinkwrapper and an APS 1570 ERGON palletising system, both produced by SMI.
Water: resource of the universe
Water is a source of life, a right for everyone, it is a non-renewable and potentially exhaustible good. Hence the importance of the behavior of bottling companies, as Embotelladora Bepensa, in adopting sustainable and virtuous production systems.
The company is constantly striving to improve the water efficiency of its
plant’s operations and reduce water consumption in relation to the litres of beverage produced; a key element in the pursuit of these objectives are the continuous investments in technological innovation, which also include the SMI and ENOBERG machinery recently installed in Cancun, Merida and the Dominican Republic for the bottling of Cristal water. The latter is packaged in bottles made up of 100% other bottles, thanks to recycling technologies and processes that transform PET safely; The result is a completely recycled and recyclable blue-toned bottle that maintains the quality and freshness of the water.
SMI and ENOBERG solutions
Bepensa Bebisas is constantly committed to meeting the needs of consumers by offering high quality products packaged in practical package formats.
Recent investments for the installation of three new production lines within the Cancun, Merida and Dominican Republic plants focused on the need to have extremely flexible multiformat systems to quickly switch from one production batch to another; a demanding challenge, considering that Bepensa’s traditional production system has always been based on single-format lines. Another request from the company to SMI and ENOBERG, was to be able to quickly have the new systems available to meet the growing market demand for Cristal bottled water.
Great teamwork between the customer and suppliers has made it possible to achieve all the objectives set, thanks to which Bepensa has obtained the required market competitiveness and preserved the quality of bottled and packaged products.

Circular approach to ensure a more sustainable future
Engin Plast promote the circular economy approach as to create products that can be reinserted into the production process through recycling, thus becoming “new material”, renewed and ready to be reused
European directives require at Member States to promote production models and consumption sustainable, encouraging the design of long-lasting products but, above all, pushing companies to consider the concept of “circular economy” from the early stages of design. The objective is to create products which, at the end of their life cycle, can be reinserted into the production process through recycling, thus becoming “new material”, renewed and ready to be reused.
In Italy too, these directives have led to the introduction of new targets and objectives that push companies to create more recyclable products. For plastic packaging, for example, the objective set is to reach 55% recycling by 2030.
Attention to sustainability, supported by legislative policies and public awareness of environmental issues, will lead to the demand for recycled polymer constantly growing.
Engin Plast: The ideal partner for innovation and sustainability
It’s in this context of rapid and changing evolutions that Engin Plast is located, a company that for fifty years has designed, produced and commercialized dosing and transport systems for polymers (in granules, ground and powder form) and granulators.
Over the years, Engin Plast has chosen the path of continuous innovation, investing resources and skills to refine its technology in both mature and emerging markets. The commitment to research and product development translates not only into improved production performance, but also into a positive impact on the environment. The solutions proposed are characterized by high technological efficiency and low energy consumption, thus contributing to the sustainability of industrial processes.
With an ever-increasing focus on foreign markets, the company is expanding into areas where demand for cutting-edge technologies is growing rapidly.
Engin Plast will be present at the next appointment at the K 2025 fair in Düsseldorf, from 8 to 15 October 2025, at Hall 11 Stand D20. An unmissable opportunity to discover
the latest news and the most advanced solutions in the polymer sector.
In the heart of Engin Plast: The value of technology for customers’ applications
Collaboration with the main machine manufacturers and attention to regulatory developments, as well as to the specific needs of customers, have allowed Engin Plast to develop increasingly specialized products: Dosing systems series TRIO
The TRIO range represents the synthesis of continuous technical research, designed to offer machinery that is easy to install and use. This range is suitable for all extrusion lines, blow molding machines, injection presses for gravimetric dosing and mixing up to a maximum of 6 components (polymers in granules, masterbatches, ground).
The gravimetric doser unit can be installed directly above the process machine in place of the loading hopper, or it can be positioned on the ground to feed one or more machines.
In recent years, Engin Plast has concentrated its efforts on several fronts:
TRIO
• Specialization in processing difficult materials such as powders and/or ground materials
• Modularity and ease of use of the machines
• Management and supervision with software that allow full integration with plants and systems already in use at the customer.
The control of the dosing units is implemented with the use of a touch screen panel, with an intuitive machine/operator interface. The process parameters can be collected and analyzed both locally and remotely. Recently Engin Plast has developed a gravimetric batch dosing system, suitable for feeding extrusion lines capable of treating 100% of ground material. The TRIO T7 and T10 models are capable of dosing very light ground materials (0.2 kg/l) reaching flow rates of up to 2000 kg/h.
Granulators TRIX
The Engin Plast granulator range, identified by the acronym TRIX (Thermofoming, Injection mouding, Recycling, Extrusion), reflect the completeness of the proposed range.
TRIX is born from the integration of the latest technologies in terms of safety, energy efficiency and reliability, with a particular focus on thermoforming and recycling, especially for highcapacity recycling plants.
As for the dosers, also in the range of granulators Engin Plast adopts a philosophy oriented towards added value, optimizing each single component. The innovative cutting system and the blade fixing and calibration system ensure high performance with low energy consumption. Furthermore, greater durability and reliability of the machine are obtained thanks to the cooling of the cutting chamber and the automatic cleaning of the bearings. A special anti-plasticization system allows working with materials of different types, shapes and thicknesses, maintaining high fidelity and repeatability of the process. The parts most subject to wear are made with noble materials and high thicknesses. The compact design
facilitates maintenance, another strong point that distinguishes these systems.
In the context of recovery and recycling, the specific granulation plant mod. 22.18 Venturi is designed for the in-line (continuous) recovery of trimmings resulting from the calibration phase of the sheet produced in the blown extrusion and cast processes. The main advantage is the immediate recovery of the
material through a closed cycle, made possible by the technological evolution of the plant composed of granulators, dosers and forcers (forced feeding).
Low energy consumption, ease of use, great versatility and small dimensions, combined with an excellent quality-price ratio, make TRIX granulators an advantageous choice for companies that focus on efficiency and sustainability.

At a recent auto exhibition in China, the Chongqing International Auto Exhibition brought together over 110 mainstream brands worldwide, with new energy vehicles (NEVs) definitely in the spotlight. There were more than 300 models from over 40 NEV car brands on display. Among them, FAW-Audi showcased a domestic PEV model called e-tron. The car’s interior was very impressive: precise processing technology and high-quality materials with an excellent tactile feel; it was really cool.”
“
The new generation of Audi e-tron adopts a lightweighting design for an extended driving range. In this regard, YIZUMI FoamPro Microcellular Foaming Injection Moulding Solution also plays a vital role. The Audi e-tron centre console frame produced by Changchun Huatao Automotive Plastic Trims CO., Ltd. (Hereinafter referred to
as Changchun Huatao) has achieved significant weight reduction without warpage through YIZUMI FoamPro technology, which ensures smooth mass production.
Founded in 2002, part of Chengdu Space Mould & Plastic CO., Ltd., Changchun Huatao is an automotive part company specializing in automotive plastic interior and exterior trim, EPP foaming part, moulded part, and plastic part of the engine. Changchun Huatao was awarded several titles such as Quality Excellence Award, Innovation Excellence Award, Excellence in Localization Award, and Excellence in Cost Control Award by FAWVolkswagen as its tier-one supplier.
FAW-Volkswagen and Changchun Huatao have determined to adopt FoamPro technology as early as the pre-research stage of Audi e-tron Centre Console Frame since this product has a complex structure and large dimension. FoamPro technology can reduce the part’s weight as well as warpage.
YIZUMI provided a complete FoamPro Microcellular Foaming Injection Moulding Solution to meet customer’s needs. In addition to two-platen injection moulding machine UN900D1, SmartClamp system, Microcellular foaming equipment, the whole solution includes a package of services such as CAE simulation analysis, mould design suggestion at the early stage, and process debugging and training after putting into operation.
Provide 8 CAE simulation analysis reports
YIZUMI CAE simulation analysis assisted Changchun Huatao in mould design optimization based on certain product structure, providing suggestions about runner design, sprue, gate position, and offering material filling curve, predicting the size and distribution density of cells, etc. Otherwise, through CAE simulation analysis for deformation trend prediction, customers can take some compensation measures to correct the part warpage, which easily happens due to the complex product structure as well as filling materials of higher fibre.
After communication and optimization, YIZUMI has provided customers 8 CAE simulation analysis reports, analyzing runner design, product weight reduction, the deformation trend, and moulding defects to decrease the development risk.
Significant weight reduction, without warpage
After the delivery, YIZUMI’s aftersales service team promptly responded to customers’ requests and assisted customers in equipment commissioning and mould trial. The qualified samples produced by the machine have passed the inspection by the OEMs. Glory Chen, Manager of YIZUMI New Material and Process Test Center, said: “The Audi e-tron centre console frame is made up of nylon and glass fibre, and has many ribs. Fiber orientation and shrink may result in part warpage and an unstable dimension. For this reason, Microcellular Foaming is able to reduce part warpage as well as the weight, while saving raw materials.”
In November 2020, the e-tron centre console frames were successfully put into mass production in Changchun Huatao. And its production effect was appreciated by the customers.
Wang Huansen, General Manager of Changchun Huatao, explained:
“The newly developed Audi e-tron centre console frame was Audi’s first try in physical Microcellular Foaming in China. Meanwhile, it is also the first time we use the newly developed 900T machine of YIZUMI to produce the microcellular foaming product. The machine meets our expectations with stable performance, good production consistency, and a significant light-
weighting effect. YIZUMI service team paid great attention to the project, offering timely services, and thoughtful follow-up technical support to ensure the smooth development of the project.”
All this time, YIZUMI has continued to support our customers in developing and testing new products and new processes and dedicated to providing with cost-effective turnkey solution.

Save the date: Next drupa from 9 to 17 May 2028
Staying true to its four-year cycle, drupa will be held again in May 2028, this time as a nine-day event
As the world’s leading platform for printing technology, the trade fair is adjusting to the changing needs and expectations of exhibitors and visitors and reflecting the continued transformation of the industry. The printing and packaging industry is undergoing a dynamic transformation that requires industry events to evolve as well. This also applies to drupa, which once again demonstrated its importance and relevance as a leading global trade fair in 2024 and provided pioneering inspiration. The industry can already look forward to the remake of the number one event for printing technology which will be held in Düsseldorf from 9 to 17 May 2028. “drupa 2024 was more international than ever, and the positive atmosphere throughout the halls reflected our industry’s determination to drive profound change in order to make the printing and packaging industry more sustainable through automation, artificial intelligence and strategic partnerships. And these are exactly the kind of important goals that will continue to require a reliable platform such as drupa in future. What was also apparent, however, was that, as a B2B trade fair with a very high proportion of decision-makers from all over the world, the length of stays at drupa has become shorter. That’s why we want to facilitate trade fair visits with maximum efficiency”, Wolfram N. Diener, Chairman and CEO of Messe Düsseldorf, explains the decision. At this year’s drupa, 76 percent of visitors were part of top and middle management. “We believe that this adjustment is also confirmed by the experience we have gathered at
our leading global trade fairs in the fields of machinery, plants and equipment, interpack and K, that address comparable customer profiles and do very well with a similar duration.” The unique presentation of cuttingedge technology and machines in operation remains a USP of drupa. The new rules for trade fair duration will continue to allow exhibitors to effectively present and stage wide-ranging product portfolios, machines and workflows as well as an impressive stage programme.
Dr Andreas Pleßke, chairman of the drupa committee and CEO of Koenig & Bauer AG, emphasises the trade fair’s importance and is a supporter of the new duration: “For Koenig & Bauer, drupa offers an unbeatable marketing format, as this year’s event has once again impressively demonstrated. We expressly welcome the new trade fair duration starting in 2028, as it will meet changing industry requirements without limiting the international scope of the trade fair. This is also demonstrated by the fact that visitors from 173 countries attended drupa, emphasizing the global appeal of the event. No other format generates such a high level of interest from the industry.”
“We comprehensively and carefully analysed the recommendations of our drupa committee, the results of exhibitor and visitor surveys and feedback from partners and associations”, says Sabine Geldermann, Director of drupa. “Shortening the fair’s duration is a direct response to the industry’s desire for a more focused, efficient event that continues to provide international participants with a unique opportunity to discover groundbreaking innovations and technology.”
The conceptual direction, new key visual and future claim of drupa 2028 will be presented to the industry in 2025.

World latest developments for plastics processing showcased at Targi Kielce
The project director emphasises that the interest in Plastpol among companies in Europe and outside
the continent is also related to brand recognition and appreciation of the role of the Kielce show in the industry’s development. The ArabPlast trade fair in the United Arab Emirates witnessed the presence of the Plastpol logo among the largest trade fairs in the world’s plastics and rubber processing industry.
The presence of companies from new markets is associated with the presentation of diverse technologies and materials for production. All Targi Kielce halls will feature the world’s latest plastics processing machines, such as innovative injection moulding machines, extruders, blow moulding machines, and recycling lines for the production of plastic packaging. A wide range of polyethylene and polypropylene granulates, regranulates, as well as various dyes and additives for plastics, including ecological ones are also on show”, emphasises the director of the Plastpol project.
Poland - the leader in processing in Central and Eastern Europe
The Plastpol internationalisation will also open new markets for domestic companies. - For many decades, Poland has been the undisputed leader of the plastics processing industry in the Central and Eastern Europe region. This significant area for the Polish economy is ranked in the forefront of the industrial processing sectors (taking into account the gross added value) and employs over 200,000 people. Jacek Szczerba, an expert in the plastics industry, emphasises that Polish companies must be able to cope and react appropriately during the difficult market environment and be adequately prepared for all kinds of market fluctuations. “I am convinced that the micro- and macroeconomic environment will gradually improve, but the pace
of improvement will be rather moderate. Therefore, it should be remembered that better prospects for the domestic market may emerge from current economic situation readings in industries that are the main recipients of plastic products. We should hope that they will have a positive impact on automation, robotisation, further increase in enterprise competitiveness, and the implementation of the latest technologies, including energysaving and low-emission solutions and heat recovery installations”, adds Jacek Szczerba.
Sustainable development is the objective
We are convinced that plastics ensure a sustainable future and development. Predominantly determinated by ecodesign, ecodesign, green technologies and green energy. Polish companies are European development trendsetters for the entire business sector. This state of affairs is confirmed by the visible interest and investment commitment of Polish producers and plastics processors, which aims to expand their product portfolio to respond to climate challenges and embrace the circular economy.
“Considering all these - it is all the more worthwhile to take part in the Plastpol Expo and make the most of the international potential of this event. We look forward to seeing you from 20 to 23 May 2025, join us at Targi Kielce”, emphasises Kamil Perz, project director.

Start-up Zone and Start-up Pitch Towards Zero at K 2025
Innovative minds present pioneering ideas for the plastics and rubber industry
After its successful debut at the previous K the Start-up Zone will also form an integral part of the trade fair again in 2025 – this time located in the direct proximity of the Science Campus. Celebrating a premiere will be the Start-up Pitch as part of the Special Plastics Shape the Future.
Start-up Zone
By organising the Start-up Zone K in Düsseldorf, the world-leading trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry, intends to once again offer
young companies a dedicated stage from 8 to 15 October 2025. After all, it is especially start-up companies that play a decisive role for the plastics and rubber industry since they introduce innovations and fresh ideas into an industry increasingly faced with such challenges as sustainability, efficiency and digitalisation. Especially start-ups are characterised by great pioneering spirit, risk affinity and high flexibility.
At K 2025 the Start-up Zone will be situated in Hall 7.0 and, hence, in the immediate vicinity of the Science Campus. At the Science Campus universities (of applied sciences) and institutes will present the latest results of their plastics research. Both K Specials ideally complement each other. The immediate vicinity of the Start-up Zone and Science Campus will make Hall 7.0 a unique science and innovation hub.
Young companies still have the chance to register for the Startup Zone thereby leveraging the opportunity of presenting their

The focus of Tovo Gomma is the “green production” intended as a preventive business management strategy applied to products, processes and work organization, whose objective is to minimize emissions and/or discharges at the source, reducing risks to human and environmental health, and simultaneously increasing competitiveness.
In 2021, Tovo Gomma introduced an Environmental Management
System (EMS). It is a framework that helps an organization achieve its environmental goals through consistent review, evaluation, and improvement of its environmental performance. The permanent review and evaluation will identify opportunities for improving the environmental performance of the organization.
When considering this continuous improvement cycle, there are two reflexive steps connecting this guide with others, especially those related to environmental assessment: the plan and the check.
Tovo Gomma has several goals, among the most important are: the “preventive maintenance” makes possible to avoid the generation of defective products that need to be reprocessed or discarded, oil spills, leaks or excessive consumption; “technological updating” allows to improve productivity, or allows new operations that lead to an improvement or innovation in the product, as well as reducing energy consumption; the “minimization and efficient consumption” of materials, water and energy consumption; the “recycling” of the maximum waste in the plant and if not, select the appropriate authorized managers, prioritizing recovery over final disposal.
In 2024, Tovo Gomma has started the “zero waste” plan, an ambitious but shared objective at all levels. The objective is easily measurable and is the most practical and tangible issue for everyone.
