Fix HP Officejet Pro 8720 Scan to Network Folder not Working Issue in Simple Steps

Step 1: Let’s initially try going to the Shared folder, right-click on it and select Properties. Access the Sharing tab, click on the Share button, and then press OK Step 2: Select Advanced Sharing and click Permissions. Ratify the changes and go back to the shared folder Properties.

Step 3: Open the Security tab and press Ok to exit the dialog box.

Access the HP printer software and click Scan located below Print, Scan & Fax.

Step 4: Select Scan to Network Folder Wizard and go with the instructions displayed on the screen.

Step 5: Once you have created the destination folder, use the embedded web server (EWS) of your printer to customize the scan settings for these folders.

Step 6: On the end display of the Scan to Network Folder Wizard, ensure that the Launch embedded web server when the finished check box is selected.

Step 7: When you click Finish, the EWS displays in the default web browser of your computer. Refer to the printer's manual to get more information about the scan to a network folder.

Step 8: Assign a public DNS address by obtaining the IP address of your printer. Tap the Wireless symbol on the control panel of the printer to obtain the IP address.

Step 9: Enter the IP address on your web browser to get EWS page of your printer on the PC. Go to the Network tab, click General, and then select Network protocols.

Step 10: Click Enable IPv4 only and apply the settings. Go to the Network tab again, select Wireless and click on the Network address.

Step 11: Press the radio button that shows Manual IP and select Suggest a manual IP address for providing a manual IP address to your printer.

Step 12: If you have a password for your wireless router, confirm that it is correct. Try setting up the scan to email and check if the network is working.
