Fix HP Deskjet 3820 not Working on Windows 10 Issue

The HP Deskjet 3820 printer should consist of proper connection and drivers installed. If you are working on a Windows 8 or 10 system, download a special feature called “ Print and Scan Doctor� to automatically check the connectivity of printer. After downloading the Print and Scan operation, click Start and then select your printer. A prompt screen appears to make your printer as default printer.

Step 1: Reset the print environment because it can restore the connections of the printer.

Step 2: To reset the printer, disconnect the power cord from both the ends. Switch of the computer and also other devices connected to it.

Step 3: After some time, turn ON the printer and the computer. Now again connect the cable to the printer and the computer.

Step 4: Try to print a sample page after resetting the printer.

Check your ink cartridge level.

Step 5: Open the ink cartridge access door and you will find the ink cartridge slot.

Step 6: If you notice the ink cartridge to be empty, install a new ink cartridge in the provided ink cartridge slot.

Step 7: Close the ink cartridge access door after successful installation of the ink cartridge.

Step 8: As soon you place the ink cartridge, the printer starts to align the ink cartridge. When the printer is idle without any noise, print a sample page.

Step 9: Restart your router, if your printer is using a wireless connection. Remove the cable connecting your wireless router.

Step 10: This will interrupt your internet connectivity. Stay calm for 10 seconds. Again connect the cable to your router.

Step 11: The printer will get connected to the router in some time.

Now print a sample page.
