ksi maailman rakastetuimmista musikaaleista saa huikean päivityksen omaleimaisista tulkinnoistaan tunnetun ohjaajan Jakob Höglundin ja liki 30-henkisen ensemblen toimesta. Berliini 1931. Kirjailija Clifford Bradshaw, elämälleen suuntaa etsivä unissakävelijä, kohtaa Kit Kat Clubin sykkeessä Sally Bowlesin, kabareen kirkkaimman tähden. Kit Kat Clubilla jokainen saa olla oma itsensä – tai kuka haluaa. Kun sekt-pullon korkki poksahtaa ja rytmi vetää tanssimaan, on malja ylitsevuotavan täynnä eikä huolta huomisesta ole. Hurmos on hetken yhteinen, mutta uuden sodan varjo lankeaa kaduille. Jokaisen on tehtävä valintansa. On aika herätä unesta.

Writer Clifford Bradshaw, a sleepwalker lost in life, meets cabaret star Sally Bowles at the Kit Kat Klub. It’s a place where everyone gets to be whatever and whoever they want to be. Just a POP! from a Sekt bottle and a beat to dance to, and you’re off, ready for anything like there’s no tomorrow. For a while, it’s all fun and games, but soon there’s a new war on the doorstep.
