CREATING A LEGACY FOR DISABILITY MOTORSPORT IN AMERICA
DISABILITY MOTORSPORT IN AMERICA Team BRIT has become the world leader in disability motorsport by using technology to provide the solutions disabled drivers need to compete in mainstream motorsport. This experience, knowledge and expertise has been built up over years of R&D to ensure our disabled drivers have what they need to race on a totally level playing field. We now want to help other teams all over the world duplicate our success, starting with America. This pilot project will be a shining example of cooperation, team work and pure resilience - to show what they can do also.

CREATING A LEGACY Team BRIT will enter 2 teams in the American Endurance Racing championship and invite disabled Americans to join us. Together, we will field 2 cars with 4 drivers per car – a total of 8 disabled racing drivers. To ensure disabled Americans are able to continue racing long after we have gone, we will leave these two race cars, fitted with our hand controls, in the very capable hands of a race team set up for injured US veterans - Resilience Racing.
6
This is the perfect solution and will ensure Americans with disabilities can compete in motorsport, using cars fitted with the technology they need, run by a team that understands their requirements.
7
WHY AMERICAN ENDURANCE RACING CHAMPIONSHIP? Our experience has taught us that longer endurance races provide more drivers with more track time, and this is a much more economical way to get as many rookies racing on a limited budget. AER race weekends consist of... Friday Saturday Sunday
Testing & qualifying 8 hour race 8 hour race
With 2 cars, this will allow up to 8 drivers to compete in each race weekend, as opposed to only 2 drivers per car in a 1 or 2hr race.
8
AER compete at circuits including Watkins Glen, Mid-Ohio and Virginia International Raceway, so it’s a fantastic introduction to team endurance racing.
9
THE FUTURE Team BRIT aim to race more regularly in America as there are some very interesting options, at many levels. There is a 24hr race at Sebring or COTA every November – the perfect step up from 2 x 8hr races. Then there are several options run by IMSA, GT4 America, SRO and more – all paving the road to the 24hrs of Daytona.
10
As this project grows, Resilience Racing and Team BRIT will be able to offer seats to disabled racing drivers from all over the world to come and compete at many different levels of racing in America. What better legacy can there be for this bold and ambitious pilot project?
11
THE CARS Team BRIT will acquire 2 race cars and fit them with hand controls. These cars will be fully race-ready and donated to Resilience Racing ahead of the first race. The exact make and model of cars is yet to be decided, but the aim is to ensure they are robust, reliable and affordable to run and maintain.

13
RESILIENCE RACING The Resilience Racing Foundation is an all-volunteer veteran led organization committed to advancing adaptive hand control technologies, and harnessing the profound benefits of ‘motorsports therapy’ through competitive racing. With years of experience in adaptive motorsport, no one is better placed to run this project in America.

MEDIA REACH “For six years, I’ve had the pleasure of handling PR and communications for the team. What started off as an incredibly unique and exciting launch story, which captivated the interest of national media, has become a regular story in regional, national, international and motorsport press.
With each new partnership and project comes new PR opportunities and the potential in America is huge. Because we’re a team based on people, not just on races, our story has global relevance. As we introduce ourselves to American audiences, race in new championships, and welcome new team members, these opportunities will continue to grow.”
We stand miles apart from other non-F1 racing teams when it comes to media interest, because of our unique human stories, our technological prowess and our drive to change the industry for the better.

As long as we have people in the team, we have the most compelling and captivating stories to share.

“I’m Gay, I’m neurodiverse and I’m Asian! Team BRIT gave me a chance and welcomed me with open arms… #micdrop”
“Not only is Team BRIT all about inclusion when it comes to having a disability, they opened their arms to a wife & wife paring who faced their own issues with being gay and disabled, making Team BRIT a family within the motorsport community.”
“Being gay has absolutely nothing to do with racing, but everything to do with how you fit in with your team. Your team mates are everything in racing so when they accept you for who you are it means the world.”
