OUR JOURNEY TO LE MANS

PURSUING OUR DREAM OF BECOMING THE FIRST EVER ALL-DISABLED TEAM TO COMPETE IN THE LE MANS 24 HOUR

FOREWORD

ONE TEAM. ONE DREAM.

We want to become the world’s first alldisabled team to race in the Le Mans 24 hour.

WHY?

This is the most iconic, legendary endurance race in the world. Those competing are at the top of their game, the pinnacle of their racing careers, and are performing on a truly global stage. That’s where we want and deserve to be, and we’ll do everything we can to get there.

We’ll showcase just what’s possible when it comes to disability motorsport and compete completely equally with our peers, racing with everything we have.

We’re used to proving people wrong and showing what can be achieved with the right level of support, confidence and belief – that’s where people like you come in.

We can’t do this on our own and are looking for new partners to join us on this history-making journey.

We work incredibly hard to grow and develop each year.

From our roots as a small karting charity supporting injured troops, to our status today as a world-leader in disability motorsport, and a competitive, championship-winning team, we continue to innovate and to inspire to progress and to change motorsport for the better.

Le Mans has always been our dream since our inception in 2015, and alongside this, we’ve created a sustainable ladder of opportunity for disabled drivers at every level of motorsport. That will never end, even when we reach our Le Mans goal.

All of this has been possible thanks to the network of partners that help make our vision a reality for us and for the people we support and inspire.

Le Mans is getting closer every year – we’d love to have you with us.

OUR DRIVER LINEUP

AARON MORGAN

Paraplegic

“I was only 15 when I broke my spine, so I’ve now spent more of my life in a wheelchair than out of a wheelchair. People expect me to say that when it happened I lost all hope and gave up. Of course it was hard, but I have honestly always looked at the positives – I could have died that day and I didn’t.

“Instead, it’s given me opportunities I would never have had before, and Team BRIT has opened doors that have led to the most incredible things.

“When I get out of my wheelchair and leave it in the pits to go out on track – it’s like I’m leaving my disability behind and driving away from the paralysis. Everyone else on that track doesn’t care that I can’t move my legs – they just want to beat me and I want to beat them.

“I’m empowered, I’m seen in exactly the same way, and I have the same chances as everyone else. What could be better than that?”

PAUL

FULLICK

Amputee

“My disability is a result of a fairly recent accident, so something I’ve had to adapt to and come to terms with. I’m not someone to give up or see the negative in situations, so I’ve quickly worked to make my life as positive and action packed as it always has been!

“I was back on my motorbike just days after leaving hospital minus one of my legs! And when I contacted Team BRIT to find out about what they could offer, I was at the HQ and trying out the hand controls within a week.

“The stories I can tell and the experiences I’ve gained already in my short time with the team, are pretty hard for anyone to imagine. I honestly can’t explain the fun, the excitement and the intense competition the team has provided. I just love it.”

BOBBY TRUNDLEY

Autistic

“When you’re autistic, the whole world is quite difficult and overwhelming and that’s really hard for anyone who doesn’t have the condition to understand. I’ve been dealing with ‘mental overloads’ for as long as I can remember and the anxiety I experience can be all consuming. Even holding eye contact with people is pretty much impossible for me.

“The one place all of that goes away is in a racing car. When I put my helmet on, my autism disappears and I experience calm and quiet that is never part of daily life for me. I honestly believe it’s a huge advantage to me on the race track. I focus in a way that a lot of other people can’t, and I call it my super power.

“Team BRIT has made this a part of who I am. I’ve driven a McLaren GT4 in the UK and across Europe, I have a full-time job and I’m growing in confidence every day. It has been life changing.”

ASHA SILVA

Autistic

“You wouldn’t look at me and think I have a disability. The truth is I’ve been battling for years with a condition that so many people just put up with and never confront.

“I have ADHD and autism which wasn’t diagnosed until I was in my 30s. Although it meant I knew there was something ‘wrong’ with me, it was also an answer to the frustration I’ve faced for as long as I can remember when I’m trying to simply live my life.

“Functioning at work, maintaining a strong and healthy relationship with my wife – all of it felt more difficult than it should be and now I know why. I’ve started working on a plan to deal with this, and racing is at the heart. I’ve never felt such passion, drive and determination to succeed. It’s lifted me and propelled me into a whole new world that I would never have thought was open to me.”

“Everything that made me who I was, that formed my personality, was taken away from me when I couldn’t walk anymore. I was 16 – I knew I was going somewhere really exciting with a career as a motocross freestyler, and skateboarding was my life. Then it was all gone.

“I was watching my friends having the life I should have had, stuck in my wheelchair.

“Being offered the chance to race with Team BRIT was a turning point beyond anything I can describe. The first time I drove on a race track, it was the most exhilarating feeling and I knew it could fill the gap in my life when I lost my riding and skateboarding.

“It’s given part of who I am, back to me, and the impact it’s made on my confidence and mental health is hard to describe.”

CALEB McDUFF

“I was really young when I lost my hearing, so it’s all I’ve ever really known and I’ve spent my life having to adapt to do the things I want to do.

“Racing has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I just got used to doing it in silence. It was too difficult in the series I was racing in to wear my implants, they would hurt under the helmet, and because there were no required pit comms, this worked.

“Meeting Team BRIT was a massive gamechanger. They wanted to find a better solution for me and other disabled drivers, so now know I can hear everything during a race. I can’t believe the difference this has made, hearing the engine and what is around me, shows that I wasn’t on a level playing field before. I want to be the first Deaf F1 driver and Team BRIT’s support and technology means I believe this could happen more than ever before.”

TOM CANNON

Autistic

Diagnosed with autism, 16-year-old Tom found comfort and clarity in racing, where the structure and rhythm of driving became a place where he could truly be himself.

Tom started karting at the age of 8, quickly impressing with his natural race craft, precise lines, and fearless overtakes. His ability to remain calm under pressure and analyse race conditions with sharp focus has become one of his biggest strengths.

Tom continues to train hard, balancing racing with his studies, aiming to progress into higher-level championships with the ultimate goal of becoming a professional racing driver. He’s joined us for a track day and has his sights set on joining the team.

MEDIA REACH

“Team BRIT is now 9 years old, but year after year we attract considerable interest from the media because of our unique and incredible story.

“We may be one of the smallest teams in the paddock, but we have the biggest family of supporters and one of the biggest media reaches in comparison to teams in our championships.

“There’s a really clear reason for that – we are FULL of unique and inspirational stories that journalists know people want to hear about. From the individual back story of every driver, to the story of our technology and how it has become the enabler in our sport, and to the relentless determination of the team’s ambition – we make good content!

“BBC and ITV film crews are regular visitors to our race weekends, and we’re proud to have been the subject of TV features and documentaries. Our sponsors and supporters share in this exposure and we’re proud to have their logo displayed across our drivers and cars.

“Getting to Le Mans will only build on this global interest in our team. We can’t wait to see the eyes of the world upon us when we race on such an iconic race.”

Our Racing Academy is key to our team, and is the entry point for any disabled driver that wants to experience the world of racing. We’ll be offering track day experiences for any disabled driver with a full UK driving licence. Their time with our team includes hot laps as a passenger around an iconic UK track, coaching with our experienced driver / coaches, time on our top-of the range simulator, a chance to drive our BMW around the track themselves and data analysis of their performance.

OUR ENGINEERING HUB AND HQ

After 5 fantastic years at Dunsfold Park and enjoying use of the Top Gear Track, we simply outgrew the space.

In October 2023 we moved to a much larger unit and gave our Engineering Director, Al Locke, carte blanche to create his new laboratory.

With support from our partners bott, RS and JCC, he has impressed beyond all expectations.

ENGAGING CUSTOMERS & STAFF

For a partnership to be successful it is important that it is supported by your customers, suppliers and staff.

We work with our partners to ensure we can deliver affordable exciting opportunities.

Our trackside hospitality is affordable, compliance friendly and delivers a full day of family friendly racing fun.

We can even arrange for your VIP guests to receive hot laps in our McLaren.

A POWERFUL PARTNERSHIP IN PRACTICE

Since launching the Team BRIT / Motability Scheme partnership in January 2024, the collaboration has gone from strength to strength, achieving a number of shared positive outcomes.

By sponsoring a driver (Noah Cosby), alongside wider sponsorship of the team, the Motability Scheme has been able to capitalise on a range of content opportunities for diverse audiences, engaged staff and customers, whilst also being directly responsible for the ongoing development and success of a young and aspiring disabled racing driver.

The aims, objectives and ethos of the two brands align perfectly, which has been reflected in the success of a number of activation events and opportunities, alongside the high engagement rates linked to shared social media and media activity.

KEY ACTIVATIONS:

• Launch event at TB HQ with local media invited

• Bespoke Motability Schemebranded content captured at Portimao during winter testing

• Drivers and sim visit Motability Scheme HQ to engage with staff

• Team BRIT input and exhibition at Motability flagship event ‘the Big Event’

• Motability Scheme staff and partners visited Silverstone for VIP hospitality during a race weekend

• Motability Scheme staff and partners entered a team in the annual Team BRIT karting event

• Motability Scheme funded a bespoke, hand-painted crash helmet for Noah, resulting in highly engaging social content

INSPIRING THE NEXT GENERATION

Our purpose isn’t just to win races. It’s to make a difference, to inspire others, and to show people what’s possible with the right support, belief and determination.

A big part of what we do is focused on engaging with young people, inviting them to our workshop to learn more about career opportunities in motorsport and to hear about our drivers and team, or visiting schools to showcase our cars and technology, and to tell the stories of our drivers’ achievements.

In 2024 we hosted groups of young people for tours and interactive activities at our HQ as part of the work of the King’s Trust, and we’ve visited the schools of drivers Noah Cosby and Bobby Trundley. We also regularly welcome young people and their families to our garage on race weekends for some behind the scenes access.
