Why did you decide to get into real estate?

I had worked in restaurants my entire life, and I love working and interacting with people. I have always had a passion and loved to work in general, and in real estate, you can work as much as you want. My mom is also a real estate agent, and I watched her while I was growing up.

What does success mean to you?

Success to me is pure happiness. I do what I love, and I love what I do: I thrive in real estate.

What are you most excited about in your life right now?

I am most excited about being able to grow with my husband. We just got married in 2020. We both are people who thrive on growing as people and as professionals, so I cannot wait to see what else we can accomplish together.

What do you do to stay grounded/ centered/sane?

Exercise is important to me. I absolutely love hot yoga, and I think staying physical is very important both physically and mentally.

How did your challenges shape who you are today?

My challenges have made me grow up at a young age. I have learned to be very self-driven, motivated and determined. Instead of choosing to dwell on my past, I use it to fuel myself to keep moving forward.

Who has helped you get where you are today?

I would say I am the person who helped me get to where I am today. I have a great group of cheerleaders and people who are proud of me, but I pushed myself to get to where I am today. I knew what I needed to do and what I had to sacrifice to keep moving forward.

As a 2021 Best-in-Class honoree, what are your words of wisdom for the next generation of real estate agents?

Care and have passion for what you are doing. Real estate is not about making money, and if that is the attitude you have, it will show. You should genuinely care about helping people with one of the biggest life purchases they will ever make. You need to be consistent, follow up, be attentive and be yourself. Lastly, you need to put the work and time in.
