Why did you decide to get into real estate?

My dad encouraged me. He has a couple rental properties and has fixed and flipped a handful of homes in his life. You could consider him an investor.

What does success mean to you?

To me, success is the creation of an abundant, healthy and sustainable lifestyle that allows you to do what you love and impact your world in a meaningful way. Success is not a destination but an ever-evolving and growing place of being. It is a verb, not an adjective, to me.

What do you do to stay grounded/centered/sane?

I read and do yoga nearly every day. Yoga is unbelievably grounding, down to its very definition. Laughing is my favorite. Laughter keeps me sane.

When are you at your best?

I would say I am at my best at social events. I love talking to other people and especially getting below-the-surface-level conversations. My favorite questions are “Why? Why? Why?”

What drives or motivates you?

Tiny successes motivate me: when I get a call back from a client I have been nurturing, when I get an offer accepted for a client, when I get the listing after an appointment. It’s energizing. It motivates me to do more.

Who has helped you get where you are today?

More people than I can name! Mom and Dad, all the KW agents, my friends and family who unconditionally support me. The authors/podcasters I listen to have dramatically changed my life.

As a 2021 Best-in-Class honoree, what are your words of wisdom for the next generation of real estate agents?

Experience trumps education every time. Don’t try to learn it all before you do it. Learn a little, do a little, learn a little, do a little. Find a top agent, build a relationship, spoil them and learn how they got to where they are. The spoiling is optional. … I just like to.
