Why did you decide to get into real estate?

In 2016 when I was buying my first house, I had a great experience with a real estate agent from a big national brokerage. I wanted to help my friends, many of whom first-time homebuyers.

What does success mean to you?

Success is when I am the first person who comes to mind when my friends are looking for a real estate agent. Success is when I try to plan a vacation for myself but can never take it because of another new client.

What are you most excited about in your life right now?

I am excited for new construction in the Troy, Canton, Novi and Ann Arbor areas. The model homes are so gorgeous!

What do you do to stay grounded/centered/sane?

I like to play piano to unwind sometimes. I let out more emotion with music — just feels so free.

When are you at your best?

In my home office Friday morning, scanning the new houses coming on the market and knowing exactly what will work for my client. We head to the listing within a couple of hours, and if the price is right, boom! That’s how you seal the deal! A cup of coffee always helps, too.

Who has helped you get where you are today?

Without a doubt, my wife. She is my rock — she’s always there to support me in whatever I do and weather the storm when things get tough. Sometimes I think too much about how a deal might go wrong, and she brings me back to solid ground.

As a 2021 Best-in-Class honoree, what are your words of wisdom for the next generation of real estate agents?

Stay humble, and try to be better than the person you were yesterday. Don’t make excuses when you fail. Instead, try to learn from your mistakes.
