1. Wynyard Quarter and the Viaduct (central) - if you haven't been there for a while, give yourself a treat. The area is continually evolving. The route is wheelfriendly. walksinauckland.com/wynyard-quarter-waterfront-
Walking is a fun activity to do as a family outing - take your children, your grandchildren, nieces and nephews, or your neighbours children. It gives children the opportunity to get outside in the fresh air, to explore the environment, use their imagination and to ask questions.

2. Churchill Park (east) starts off on an inland route and returns via the cliff tops. The park is used for farm animals. And there is a dog off leash area. The route is buggy friendly. walksinauckland.com/walks-in-auckland-churchill-
There are plenty of short walks in Auckland to choose from, which makes it easy to get walking every weekend - with or without the company of children. Here are five coastal walks which we have chosen specifically because they include one or more playgrounds plus toilets. Before the summer weather ends, pack a picnic, grab the hats and go and have some fun!
