March Addition

March is a time to look ahead as we transition out of the cold months to get ready for Spring. It is a time to take advantage of our guests' excitement to get out of the winter doldrums and cheer on their favorite local or college teams as we come to the end of basketball season. This is a great time to use your menu to drive traffic to your restaurant.

We have noticed several trends that we want to be sure to address with this toolkit: Trending Chicken Wing Flavors

• Nashville Hot - 245% trend growth

• Dry Rub Chicken Wings – 113% trend growth

• Asian Influence up 187%

• Lemon Pepper up 83%

We will touch on a couple Social Media Inspired Trends –Cloud Bread, 4.2 billion views on social media and a Burrata Board as an upgrade to Butter Boards which has 1.2 billion views on social media.

Burgers are the foundation of many of our menus. We will focus on three trends for burgers: Top Tier Toppers, Meat Combinations, and All Things Fried

Additionally, we will show some alternative burger and bun options that may be right for you.

This toolkit will feature some On-trend Veggie Sandwiches. Here in the Midwest we have not felt the push for vegetarian and vegan options as our counterparts on the costs have but all information shows the non-meat trend will continue to grow. We will feature ways to incorporate that trend in our sandwich section by presenting ideas for delicious and meatless options.

Of course, our customers love great Beef and Protein Options. This toolkit will identify some great value steak options perfect for grilling season along with our CAB program that never disappoints. Lastly, check out some easy Revenue Enhancements –breakfast and snacks to go.
