A: If your customer does not have knowledge of the previous supplier, nothing needs to be shared.

If you know your customer has loyalty to the previous supplier, inform your Premium Protein Specialist (PPS) and the Sysco Specialty Meat BDM for assistance.

Q: What is not changing?

A: Product will be processed to the same product specifications given the fact that we (Sysco) own the proprietary recipes.

Q: Will my customers notice anything different?

A: We have made enhancements to the boxes that we are utilizing to pack our ground beef patties in to create an improved customer experience.

Q: Is the product going to perform the same?

A: Sysco Specialty Meat Companies have been producing beef patties for you and your customers for many years and we recently executed a similar product conversion in the MidAtlantic SSMG region. Sysco’s industry leading processes ensure all product conversions include extensive customer feedback. Your new patties have gone through rigorous side by side cuttings to ensure the quality is the same or better.

Q: Sysco Brand Credit?

A: In the past, your patties have not all been Sysco Branded. Going forward, everything that Sysco Specialty Meat Group produces for you in the category will be Sysco Branded.

Q: Who can I reach out to for penetration and new business opportunities?

A: Your Premium Protein Specialist or the Sysco Specialty Meat BDM that has been assigned to support you. Please refer to this link.

Q: How do I request product samples?

A: Execute the same sampling process that you utilize for all SSMG produced products. However, if you have a high priority opportunity with a customer, contact your SSMG BDM so that we can expedite judicially.

Q: What if customer insists on staying with the prior item?

A: 1) We have optimized our core assortment and unfortunately the previous item is no longer available.

2) Leverage your PPS and SSMG BDM to support in making the conversion.

3) Send out product samples.

4) Guarantee the sale.

5) In situations where you have exhausted every measure, then get with your RVP of Merchandising and Sales for consideration to approve a one-time local exception.
