Thisprojectexpressesmyaspirationtobreakfreefromtheemotionaldistress followingmyfather'spassing.Duringthatperiod,Iwouldsecretlycryinthemi ofthenight,leadingtosleepdeprivation,hairloss,andintenseemotional fluctuations.Mybodyfeltextremelyuncomfortable,promptingmetomakeas commitmenttotakebettercareofmyself.Afteradeterminedmomentfollowi oneofthosecryingepisodes,IresolvedtograduallyreleasetheresponsibilityI placedonmybody.Ibegantoreclaimcontrolovermyemotions,explorenew hobbies,andre-prioritizemyphysicalandemotionalwell-being.

ConceptDevelopment
Icombinethehappierplaygroundelementswithbody organs,andputmyselfintheplaygroundofhuman organstofindtheplaceandwaytomakemyselfhappy again.Iwanttomakepeoplere-examinetheirbodies andemotionsthroughthiscombinationofelements.
Iassociatevariousorgans withamusementpark rides,suchasroller coasters,jumpers,merrygo-rounds,etc.People haveatendencytohavea riseinadrenalinewhen theyarenervousand excited,soIassociatethe jumperwiththekidneys.I alsoassociaterestaurants withthestomachbecause allofoureatingand digestionneedstobe convertedintoenergy throughdigestioninthe stomach.
Myworkusesastylesimilartothe illustrationofapicturebookasan expression,expressingmyself-regulation ofmybademotions.Bycomparingthe humanbodytoaplayground,whenIplayin the"playground",Iamactuallycomparing ittotheprocessofregulatingmyown emotions,andwhenthehumanbodyis regulatingitsownemotions,alltheorgans ofthebodyarerunning,andeachorgan representsaride,forexample,theuterus inagirl'sbodyrepresentsagiftstore,the intestinesrepresentarollercoaster,etc.

Imakeupthevariouspartsofmy bodyintoamusementparkitems andthengathertheminthe amusementparktoforma completemapofthepark.The throatisahauntedhouse,the largeintestineisarollercoaster, theuterusisagiftstore,the stomachisarestaurantandsoon.
Thebodyandemotionsare closelylinked,andthe dysregulationofone'sown emotionscaneasilycausestressin theoperationofthebodyorgans. Theamusementparkintheworkis myself-regulationwhenIamina badmoodcomparedtothe processofgoingtoanamusement park,becausepeoplehaveahappy timeintheamusementparkfora verylargepartofthetime.Selfregulationandself-relaxationisa veryimportantthing.

Thisprojectdocumentsaperiodofmyexperiencewith journaling,knownas"手帐"(shǒuzhàng)inChinese. Journaling,intheformofcreatingapersonalizeddiary,involves expressingdailythoughtsandexperiencesthroughwriting, drawing,andaddingfavoritephotosorstickerstothejournal. Ittransformsmymemoriesintotangiblerecords,capturingthe essenceofeachday'shighlights.However,myroutinechanged whenmydadgiftedmeamobilephone.Gradually,mydaily lifebecameinseparablefromthephone,whetherforleisure, entertainment,orshopping.Everyaspectoflifewas meticulouslyrecordedbythephone,renderingmyattempts tocontinuetraditionalpen-and-paperjournalingunsuccessful Thecontentthatusedtofillmyjournalwasreducedto sporadicwordsonthephone,leavingmeincreasingly uncertainaboutwhattodocument.Thisdilemmaledtoa profoundsenseofconfusionabouttheroleofboththephone andthetraditionaljournalinmylife,andIhopetooneday breakfreefromthisconfusion.

WhenIwasinhighschool,myschooldidn'tallowustobringmobilephones,andtherewerenootheractivities inourdailylifeexceptstudying.Fromthenon,Istartedtowritehandbooksandsmallnotes,andmy classmatesandIusedsmallnotestotelloursecrets,andwewrotedownthefunthingswesawinourdailylife inthehandbooks.ButafterIgraduatedfromhighschool,Igotmyownmobilephone,andIspentmoreand moretimeplayingwithit,andmyhandbookbecamemoreandmoremessy.Iusethisworktoremindmyself thateventhoughmymobilephoneiswithme,Ishouldnotforgettowritedowneverywordwithapen.

ThisProjectexpressesmynostalgiaforthepast.Iamsomeone whoeasilygetstrappedinmemories,especiallysincemyfather's passing.Ioftenfindmyselflostincontemplation,reliving momentsfromthepastasiftheywereonacontinuousloopinmy mind.However,afteraparticularreflection,IrealizedthatI cannotremainstagnant.Everyoneneedstolookforward,and thosememorieswillbecomethebestsouvenirsinmylifejourney.
