Thisprojectexpressesmyaspirationtobreakfreefromtheemotionaldistress followingmyfather'spassing.Duringthatperiod,Iwouldsecretlycryinthemiddle ofthenight,leadingtosleepdeprivation,hairloss,andintenseemotional fluctuations.Mybodyfeltextremelyuncomfortable,promptingmetomakeasilent commitmenttotakebettercareofmyself.Afteradeterminedmomentfollowing oneofthosecryingepisodes,IresolvedtograduallyreleasetheresponsibilityIhad placedonmybody.Ibegantoreclaimcontrolovermyemotions,explorenew
hobbies,andre-prioritizemyphysicalandemotionalwell-being.





Afterthedeathofmyfather,Ihavenotbeenabletoadjust myemotionsandbodilyfunctionsfor sometime,andIoftenhaveinsomniaand

Thisprojectdocumentsaperiodofmyexperiencewith journaling,knownas"手帐"(shǒuzhàng)inChinese. Journaling,intheformofcreatingapersonalizeddiary,involves expressingdailythoughtsandexperiencesthroughwriting, drawing,andaddingfavoritephotosorstickerstothejournal. Ittransformsmymemoriesintotangiblerecords,capturingthe essenceofeachday'shighlights.However,myroutinechanged whenmydadgiftedmeamobilephone.Gradually,mydaily lifebecameinseparablefromthephone,whetherforleisure, entertainment,orshopping.Everyaspectoflifewas meticulouslyrecordedbythephone,renderingmyattempts tocontinuetraditionalpen-and-paperjournalingunsuccessful. Thecontentthatusedtofillmyjournalwasreducedto sporadicwordsonthephone,leavingmeincreasingly uncertainaboutwhattodocument.Thisdilemmaledtoa profoundsenseofconfusionabouttheroleofboththephone andthetraditionaljournalinmylife,andIhopetooneday breakfreefromthisconfusion.

Myentireworkisbasedontheworkofartistssuchaszitong,KefanShi_langlang,StaceyThomasandriver qing.Themoremelancholicbluebackground,thehandlingoflightandshadow,andtheuseofcolourful coloursareallthingsIcanlearnfrom.









































ThisProjectexpressesmynostalgiaforthepast.Iamsomeone whoeasilygetstrappedinmemories,especiallysincemyfather's passing.Ioftenfindmyselflostincontemplation,reliving momentsfromthepastasiftheywereonacontinuousloopinmy mind.However,afteraparticularreflection,IrealizedthatI cannotremainstagnant.Everyoneneedstolookforward,and thosememorieswillbecomethebestsouvenirsinmylifejourney.
