Agnesrediscoversherrecently deceasedsisterinamagicalgameof DungeonsandDragons.Sheslashes herwaythroughorcs,dragons,and cheerleadersandlearnsthere'smore tohersisterthansheeverknew.This funnyandimaginativeplayisauniversalstoryofhonoringthosewe'velost.

“InthisventureIamremindedofallthat

connectsustoeverybeing,beit floraorfauna,andIhumble myselfbeforeit–asapenitentin thesacredchapelofthisearth. Eventhesmallestandsimplestof creaturesgivesmejoytobringto lifeoncanvas,asifinpreserving themthereImightpreserve somethingofthemforposterity,” addstheartist,whoisknownfor therealismandenigmaticcompositionsonherwork.

In2023,theVerandarestaurantin downtownFortMyersiscelebratingits45th yearofoperation.OwnerPaulPedensays itfeelslikeamarriageinsomewaysand heisveryhappytocelebratethismilestone anniversary.

Peden,whohasoperatednearly30 restaurantsinhiscareer,saysthe Veranda’ssuccessisduetokeepingits brandinline,stayingfocusedonquality, productandpeopleandthedistinctivediningexperienceitoffers.
