Home for students This project was for a student housing competition that I took part in. The brief was to design accommodation for 140 students. Our team came up with the idea to use pre-casted concrete cubes to house the students. We propose to create a dense yet clear centralized spatial organization formed by two L shaped buildings through overlay and interplay of mix housing type modules with variation of form arranged face to face to make a functional space.

कार्यस्थल का ताना-बाना This project was aimed at understanding the typography of workspaces. The brief was to design a workspace for a textile sampling unit focusing on the handloom. I designed this office in storytelling formate. I looked at how materials can narrate stories about the process of weaving.

What’s Inside the Box I took part in a week-long Arduino workshop and used IR (Infrared Sensor) sensor and RGB lights to create an interactive box. The box has 3 windows and each window lights up a specific colour and if multiple windows are opened then the light that’s emitted is a mixture of the colours.

Grids are fun This project was also a part of a oneweek-long workshop on introduction with the software Rhino and a plugin called Grasshopper. The key idea revolved around 3 factors a cube, Grid and Morphing. I took the simple form of a cube and used the plugin grasshopper to create a simple yet interesting form. And later the 3D model was taken to a Laser cutting machine and the cube was made with plywood.

Future of Retail This project was named the future of Retail and I was assigned the sub typology of a Bakery. After doing primary and secondary research I realized that we are so distant from the knowledge of what we consume. I believe the future of retail won’t be limited to buying and selling objects rather it will be a place where people for the experience. The brick and mortar stores can give the customer a tangible experience that the online stores can’t.

Kiosk Design This is a kiosk design for Select City Walk mall in New Delhi. I designed a kiosk that is completely dismantlable and uses only 3 materials that are glass, plywood and MS rods. And these 3 materials will be screwed together using nut and bolts. The size of this pop-up kiosk is 8ft x 6ft x 7ft (LxWxH).
