Katie Barrett has been a child and family photographer for over 14 years. Inspired by other photographers around the UK, she decided to offer doorstep portraits (from a safe distance) near her home in North Cardiff. The sessions were free with a voluntary donation to Cardiff Women’s Aid and after initially aiming for a target of £250, she raised £1,130! Katie Barrett has photographed over 100 households including, birthdays, anniversaries, socially distanced street parties and a brand new baby! She’s had the best time meeting new neighbours and catching up with old friends, all while making money for a good cause.
