ST PETERS YOU'VE GOT TALENT

The talent on display at the 2021 SPYGT Finale was incredible. It was touch-and-go whether a live performance would go ahead and thanks to the College Captains and SPOSA, for supporting the event, there were no broken legs in sight.

On Friday 30 July, the St Peters You’ve Got Talent final took place in the Dron Auditorium in front of a socially distanced audience. We were so lucky to even have an audience there, this year, and they, as well as the performers, were very appreciative.

The five finalists – Zero Gravity (Years 7-11), Chloe and Gauri (Year 10, top left), Gabbie & Botoa (Years 10 &12, top centre), Sophia Maddock (Year 8, top right) and Fraser Stott (Year 9) – captured the audience with their various musical talents. We also had annual performances from the teachers (bottom left) and boarding boys, who both entertained with their amusing dancing acts. Finally, The Pulse, with special guests Maddie and Ella Rushmore, delighted us with their rendition of ‘Here comes the Sun’ and ‘Sweet Child o’ Mine’.

Thank you to all the performers and backstage helpers for making this event possible. Our Captains and Perfects (bottom right)did a fabulous job pulling it all together on the night and producing a very entertaining evening for everyone. Congratulations to the 2021 SPYGT winners, Chloe and Gauri, who wowed us with their acoustic version of Adele’s, ‘Someone Like You’.
