Class of 2024
The St Michael’s College community takes great delight in celebrating the SACE achievements of the graduating Class of 2024. As the year draws to a close, it is that time in the school calendar when the College eagerly awaits the annual release of the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) results and the associated Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR).
St Michael’s takes great pride in all its students’ achievements; some will utilise their ATAR to apply for tertiary study, others will begin apprenticeships, a few will venture into the workforce, and a few more will take a “gap” year to consider options. It is important to remember that an ATAR score does not define a person or their future successes, and many tertiary institutions will look beyond this data to determine the suitability of the individual for the course chosen, taking into consideration portfolios of work, auditions, tests or similar.
The College congratulates all the students recognised in this release but also those who have achieved their own personal success story through hard work and determination. These are qualities that will hold them in good stead as they begin the next stage of their life’s journey. We applaud their resilience and commitment to their studies, and we recognise the significant impact that their teachers have had across the 13 years of their educational journey; their influence and encouragement cannot be underestimated.
On the cusp of a new phase in their lives, our students are equipped with the values and ideals that reflect our inclusive Catholic and Lasallian education where every member of the community is known, valued, and cared for. These principles will enable them to continue exploring their passions knowing that the future holds few limits. We also recognise the integral role of parents as their children’s first educators and hold this important partnership with the College in high stead.
With an ATAR of 99.15, four A+ results, including three Merits, I extend my congratulations to the College Dux Indira Burns, and to the Proxime Accessit Cassidy Kilgallon with an ATAR of 99.1, including one Merit, and a “perfect” 20/20 for University Studies.
As my second year at St Michael’s, I take great pride in being part of a school community that continuously strives to be the best it can be, and I look forward to following the Class of 2024 in the years to come.
Kind regards,
Tony Daley Principal

Congratulations
Congratulations to these students and to all our students who achieved their goals in Year 12. The College is proud of all its students, whether they pursue tertiary study, apprenticeships, work, or gap year options. I must emphasise that their ATAR does not define our students or their futures and that many factors influence their course eligibility and future pathways.
St Michael’s continues to provide a broad selection of Year 12 subjects ensuring the needs of our diverse cohort of students are considered. This year, students completed over 50 different SACE Stage 2 subjects, 22 different university subjects and a wide variety of VET courses contributing to their SACE completion.
We take immense pride in celebrating all our students' accomplishments and look forward to witnessing their continued success in their future endeavours.
We are grateful to the parents who supported their children and to the teachers, both in Year 12 and throughout the College, for their dedicated efforts in assisting students to achieve such fine results.
