STRATEGIC VISION

2025 - 2027

NON NOBIS SOLUM

THE ST HILDA’S GIRL

We are articulate, confident and capable.

We can do hard things.

We support one another.

We are the changemakers.

We are St Hilda’s Girls.

At St Hilda’s School there are no limits to what we can achieve.

St Hilda’s girls are also encouraged to enrich our world through active service, living our values and always working towards achieving their personal best.

THE ST HILDA’S WAY

We are embarking on a bold new chapter in the St Hilda’s story. As the only all-girls’ school on the Gold Coast, St Hilda’s continues to provide an aspirational environment where young girls and women are empowered to achieve without limits. St Hilda’s takes immense pride in its tradition of inspiring young women to find their voice and lead.

Our holistic approach to education extends beyond academics; it encompasses the development of character, resilience and leadership skills. We foster a nurturing environment where each girl is encouraged to explore her passions, chase her dreams, and embrace her unique identity.

Our Strategic Vision is a testament to our promise to empower girls to break boundaries and create their own stories.

LEGACY

For over a century, St Hilda’s has cultivated a strong legacy of graduates — women of profound intelligence, humour, wit, generosity and service. These women embody the school’s commitment to living and learning with purpose. The future looks bright and the inspiring young women of St Hilda’s continue to make their mark on the world today.

The five pillars provide interwoven support for our girls. Like the symbol of the ammonite, they are interconnected to ensure strength and an innovative approach towards the connectedness of our identity.

We are excited to share the five pillars of our strategic vision. Our future is built on more than a century of success. The promise is to empower St Hilda’s girls to breakdown barriers as they create their own story.

WELCOME TO ST HILDA’S SCHOOL

As the 12th Principal of St Hilda’s School, I am delighted to extend a heartfelt welcome to our school community. With a legacy spanning over 113 years, St Hilda’s takes pride in its tradition of empowering young women.

At St Hilda’s, we embrace our Anglican traditions as a guiding influence, shaping a community that thrives in our dynamic, interconnected world. Our mission is straightforward – to nurture character, and equip girls and young women with the skills and knowledge that will see them excel in a rapidly changing landscape.

Recognising the unique strengths of each student, we advocate for a personalised approach to education, offering diverse pathways for academic excellence, vocational education, and early tertiary study. Our curriculum is

enriched by a variety of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, ensuring a comprehensive and well-rounded educational experience.

The connections formed during a St Hilda’s journey reach beyond the school gates. Our dedicated staff, supportive families and the remarkable sisterhood of St Hilda’s girls establish lifelong bonds that empower our graduates to confidently navigate the world and to lead successful careers and fulfilling lives as future leaders and changemakers.

Together, we know a St Hilda’s girl can be anything.

I am a pioneering student leader and champion of excellence. Transcending innovational barriers, I foster collegiality, success and growth through dedication to holistic academic growth.

BOARDING Home away from home

Since our story began in 1912, St Hilda’s School has always been a boarding school. We are delighted to be refurbishing our Boarding Houses, enhancing comfort and modernising spaces for our girls at St Hilda’s. Designed by a talented female-led architecture team, the renovations include:

• Personalised Pods: Architecturally designed spaces, allowing each girl to create a personal sanctuary while staying connected to her boarding sisterhood.

• Air Conditioning: New systems in Whitby and McCulloch Houses, making the entire Boarding Precinct fully climate-controlled.

• Dining Room: A more inviting space with a new layout and quieter commercial dishwasher.

• Whitby House Upgrades: Modernised kitchen, bathrooms, laundry, and chill zones. These enhancements reflect our commitment to providing a supportive, enriching boarding experience.

I’m so glad my daughter feels known, loved and connected while boarding and she loves her new pod!

• Health and Performance Focus.

• Design that prioritises student health and wellbeing.

• A strength and conditioning coach to develop athletes.

In the coming years, our sports facilities will incorporate a full depth mezzanine for aligned health professionals and student wellbeing studios. We are revisiting our Master Plan to increase sporting facilities. We are also focusing our spaces to support diversity in our Middle Senior School subject offerings and that support Creative Industries.

STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT

Last year, Aileen Hu graduated as the Top Academic Achiever in Queensland and along with two classmates were in the Premier’s Top 30. Holly Warn (Year 9), coached by Senior Development Swim Coach Mr Alex Beaver, represented Australia in Paris as the youngest member of the Paralympic team.

At St Hilda’s School, we want all of our girls to know they truly can be anything and to pursue their ambitions with confidence in their character and capabilities. Having opened the Granowski Building, home to our extraordinary Performing Arts facilities last year, this year our key projects are the redevelopment of Aquatics, completion of a new FINA Certified 50m Pool and the introduction of High Performance Sport facilities to empower our girls further.
