Cambodia is attracting more and more tourists each year, due in part to the country's growing economy and its plethora of religious sites, natural wonders, and manmade attractions. Here are three destinations that should definitely be considered when visiting this beautiful country. 1. The Silver Pagoda. Found in Phnom Penh in the country's Royal Palace, this eyecatching landmark houses numerous treasures, including a lifesized gold statue of the Buddha covered in over 9,000 diamonds. For those interested in both art and history, this is a wonderful place to get a feel for the cultural heart of the country. 2. Ratanakiri. This remote province is a perfect place for nature and animal lovers, as the alluring landscapes are home to elephants, gibbons and gaur, or Indian bison. Along with nature treks, visitors can enjoy hiking through jungles and swimming beneath waterfalls. 3. Angkor Wat. Also called the 'City Temple,' this magnificent
complex dates back to the 12th century. The temple has survived almost completely intact, and is the most visited attraction in Cambodia. Its main tower reaches an impressive 669 feet, and it is the largest of all Angkor temples.
