HOST BAR

The total amount sold at the bar is billed to the host.

Guarantees, Confirmations and Cancellations

A final guarantee is due by Noon, three (3) full business days prior to the date of the event. If a final guarantee is not submitted in the time frame declared, the original guarantee will be considered final. You will be charged for the final guarantee meal count or actual meals served, whichever is greater. In the event that a request for an item is less than three (3) business days prior to a function, we will accommodate if the product is available. Additional charges may apply. Menus submitted less than seven (7) days prior to the event are subject to availability, and may include an additional charge. We shall provide an additional 5% over the final guarantee count if this final count is received in the approved time period. These additional meals will only be billed if they are served. The additional meals will not be guaranteed to match the original menu selection.

There is a 100 setup fee for each bar set. This fee will be waived if a minimum of $125 in sales is achieved at each bar.

MEALS ABOVE THE 5%

Customers shall be assessed an additional charge for each meal that exceeds the 5% guarantee provision. The additional meals cannot be guaranteed to match the original menu selection or price and will be subject to a 10% surcharge.

Some examples of specialty items include organic, all-Iowa products or special cuts of meat that are not listed on the menu. CANCELLATIONS

If the entire event is canceled less than three (3) business days prior to the event, a 50% charge will apply. If the entire event is canceled less than 24 hours prior to scheduled event, a 100% charge will apply. Specialty items will be charged at 100% of the original guarantee. Exceptions to cancellations may be made if the National Weather Service declares a weather emergency. In this case the customer will not be charged for any expenses incurred. BEVERAGE SERVICE

Beverages associated with meal events shall be served during the period the meal is scheduled. This period shall be defined as the service-start and service-end times identified on the Food Service Order sheet. Credit for individual beverages ordered will be issued for unopened containers of canned soda or bottled water only. Continued on page 22

Guarantees, Confirmations and Cancellations BUFFET SERVICE

Buffet events that exceed one (1) hour in service time shall be subject to an additional 5% charge for each additional one-half hour of service. Buffet events that serve fewer than 25 meals shall be charged the minimum buffet charge, which is based on a meal count of 25. Menu substitutions that cause higher product or service costs may result in an additional charge. Number of Buffet Tables — These numbers are approximate and depend on the meal chosen. 25-150 people: 1 buffet line, double sided tables, 2 lines 150-300 people: 2 buffet lines, double sided tables, 4 lines 300-450 people: 3 buffet lines, double sided tables, 6 lines If you prefer additional buffet lines, there will be an additional charge. FOOD SERVICE

In accordance with state regulations and ISU risk management guidelines, department regulations, and insurance regulations, no food or beverages shall be taken from the Iowa State Center premises. At the conclusion of the event, such food becomes the property of ISU Dining. All food service in the Iowa State Center complex is the responsibility of ISU Dining. No outside food or beverage products may be served at events in the complex without the express permission of ISU Dining.

ITEMS LEFT IN THE CARE OF ISU DINING ISU Dining will be glad to return items left in our care if they meet the following criteria: 1. All items must be picked up the night of the event or ISU Dining is not responsible for lost or misplaced items. 2. ISU Dining must be provided a list of all items to be returned to the customer prior to the event. 3. The customer must provide a storage container for all items to be saved. 4. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that they have all of their items when they leave the Iowa State Center.
