We’d like to welcome everyone to the 2025 Family Event! This past year has brought many blessings in so many ways. We are truly fortunate to be able to work with some of the best families in the country and we thank you for making our job a whole lot easier. They say “a rising tide raises all ships” and that has been our mantra the past few years. When you lift others up it only elevates yourself and watching your kids achieve their dreams in the show ring, cheer their friends on outside of the show ring and become like family to us is something that we don’t take for granted.
Another blessing that we have been granted is the birth of our newest member, Nova Rose Nikkel. Sammi and I are so fortunate to be able to start our family with such an awesome support system around us from all across the country. I can’t wait to watch Nova grow up and be surrounded by so much love.
This year’s group of heifers is a fun one. I believe there is something for everyone in this sale, and we hope that everyone can find their perfect match. These females are backed by some of the most potent cow families and sires in the business. They have pedigrees that are proven to work and we can’t wait to see, not only what they do in the show ring, but what they can do in production. New this year is a separate bred heifer and cow sale in December. Watch our Facebook page for updates!
Our crew is second to none. Tray Zabokrtsky has been with us for four years now, and we are so proud of the young man he has become.
His determination for perfection is unmatched and he has become such an integral part of our team. He knows this group in and out and I would encourage you to reach out if you have any questions. Hayden Fox has been with us for a year now, and nobody brings a better vibe and joy to every day than Foxy. His work ethic is top of the line. Thank you Hayden for the long hours and smiles you have dedicated to us.
We’d also like to thank Wyatt Lange who runs our Kansas cow herd division. Wyatt’s attention to detail and hard work is incredible. We would not be able to offer such a deep offering without Wyatt. We’d also like to thank Cory Thomsen. His mentorship has helped Jaxon and I reach new heights. He is always there when we need something, and we truly could not do this without him. Lastly, we like to thank the entire team at 605 Sires + Donors. We get the pleasure to work hand in hand with that crew and we are so fortunate to be able to benefit from their progressive advancements in animal breeding and genetics.
Finally, none of this would be possible without the grandparents! There simply aren’t words for what you guys have done for us. Jaxon, Sammi, Ben, and I truly have the best parents in the world. And now Nova, gets the best grandparents any newborn could ask for.
Once again, we thank everyone who has taken the time to evaluate the offering. Here’s to a new show season!
The Dream Lady cow family has some deep roots drilled here in Marion, SD. They have been around much longer than I have, and truly hold a special place at the Family Event. When it came time to catalog and lot this extraordinary group of females, to me it was logical where to start. We are proud to offer a FULL sister to the hottest bull in the Shorthorn industry, Dream Maker. That’s right, a Red Knight daughter out of, in my opinion, one of the top donor females in the business – 5158C. 5158C is a Right Direction out of the legendary 161. Rip through this one’s pedigree and you will find countless sires and dams that have shaped some of the top programs. We feel this red and white female not only will be competitive in the ring, but what she brings to the forefront in terms of future dollars generated is unmatched. It’s been a dream to offer a female of this magnitude, and Dreams really do Come True! Retaining 1/2 Embryo Interest

Few matings have even sniffed the success in recent times as the No Limit x 5158C’s. Don’t believe me? Just ask our friends in Hagerstown, IN on the countless champions that come from this lineage. Lot 2 looks to continue this unprecedented dominance. We feel this female can run at the highest of levels. Unreal dimension, presence, and structure. Recently, full sisters have gotten their picture taken at shows like Junior Nationals and Louisville. As you look for next year’s great one, don’t bet against sure fire, proven pedigrees. Pedigrees that can take a program to another level.

A flashy, can’t-miss female comes to us in Lot 4. A full sister to the 2022 American Royal Supreme Female, SS Chasing Dreams Drama 121, who is a young up and coming donor for St. Ledger and us. She is also a full sister to the popular AI sire SS Inferno, who has done a fantastic job for us in raising not only elite show heifers but cows that would impress even the most critical of cattlemen. We really like this female, and feel she is a more feminine, more extended version of 121 and Inferno. You can’t help but appreciate this female’s angularity and balance. Breed legends are littered through this one’s pedigree, so don’t second guess it.
Dream Lady 161 was arguably one of the most dominant females that Sammi exhibited. She was Reserve Supreme Female at the National Western, and then went on to join the illustrious donor battery at Sullivan Farms. You can find her in the pedigree of some of the most prominent Shorthorn cattle today. She’s the dam of 5158C who not only took home her fair share of hardware but is now a dominant donor, raising champions in both the purebred and plus divisions as well as cutting edge herd sires like Dream Maker and Accountability. Opportunity knocks with Lot 3. Your chance to own a maternal sib to 5158C, that is sired by the red hot FSF Perfection. This different twist on pedigree opens up the door to next tier generating potential. Once Lot 3 hangs up the show halter, haul her right to your local 605 IVF facility.

434P continues her dominance again and again. Few cows have continued to click time and time again no matter how they’re mated. This white female is not your everyday Shorthorn. A female that offers added power, bone, substance. A female that carries all this in an awesome silhouette with perfect structure. These are the type you can flush to a variety of sires and make elite progeny. Because of this, I tried to convince everyone to keep her, but we are committed to offering the best. She’s a full sister to the 2023 Family Event high seller, S/N Lady Crystal Lottery 3100, who commanded $90,000 and went on to be named Reserve Supreme Female at the 2024 National Western. Don’t miss this white beast.

This roan female, although a shot greener than the rest, is one that we feel is going to have a day. Longer and more extended than most, this female is sure to catch the judge’s attention. She’s one that you won’t have to worry too much about hair, she seems to grow it like a chia pet. She’s another daughter of the immortal 434P. 434P continues to stand the test of time as one of the top donor cows in the business. Pay attention to the pedigrees that are hanging the banners. We are striving towards breeding cattle that defy logic. We talk time and time again about different mating selections and continue to try to make the next generation better. It’s a goal that is shared with different breeders across the world. Ladies and gentlemen, we have one here that defies logic. A female that no matter the day, time or weather, has always been a stand out. Massive feet and legs, perfectly square hip, body density, dimension, all the while being so correct, so angular, feminine and smooth polled. To me, if you are looking for a female that will truly launch you and your program to another stratosphere, then I encourage you to study Lot 7. These are the types of females that make it fun. Her dam CF HHF Margie 750 is as perfect structured, high performing as you will find.

S/N NEXT LEVEL MARGIE 535
Full sister to Lot 7, and much like her, one that we feel is national quality. Study this female. Her structure and angularity is as perfect as you can make one. She’s so deep in her body cavity, and level in her hip and topline. She reminds me so much of her dam 750, and we feel she can have the same generating power. I genuinely believe this one is going to surprise some people a year from now. If you are looking to play the long game, we feel that this one could make one of the best bred heifers on the green chips.
Margie 2154 was our selection from the Cornerstone Farms sale in 2021. She’s an awesome Hot Commodity female that knocked it out of the park on her first set of ET daughters. The first of the trio is Lot 9. This red female was a standout all spring and summer. Hayden Fox has always said that she’s the one he’d buy to raise those highly sought after Shorthorn steers. I’ve never seen a Purebred with a hind leg this massive. This one will be fun to drag around this year.

This white female is the one that I claimed I would have kept for Nova’s first year. The first day we tied her up I was leading her around and sticking her with a show stick. On top of a great disposition, we feel this female has tons of quality to her. Loose in her design and massive in her middle. Backed by the maternal power of the Margie cow family, this one is going to make her new owners very happy.
The one that wins the density and power award is Lot 11. If you’re looking for that female that will be fun to jackpot and then could raise you a show steer, this is your girl. As punchy for a purebred as you will find with a big functional running gear. Cattle like this will never go out of style.
We sought out to purchase some embryos that would elevate both our program and sale offering. It’s no secret how good these Traveling Ruby females are and we dove at the opportunity to purchase a package from Greenhorn’s. Luckily enough we went 3 for 3 on those eggs and we’re proud to present this trio. Lot 12 is the longer bodied shaplier female of the sisters and with time we feel is going to be a force in the show ring. Perfect roan colored, big boned and sound. Simply put she’s just flat good. Full sister to the $75,000 high selling female in the 2023 Family Event, as well as a maternal sister to the $65,000 high selling female in the 2024 Family Event, $40,000 high selling female in the Family Event, and the $42,000 high selling female in the 2025 Cates Farm Star Search. DAILY CARE
One of our biggest passions and priorities is customer service and day to day care. Whether you leave your purchase in the care of Schrag Nikkel Show Cattle or we come clip before a show, we want to ensure your purchase is presented to the highest level possible. It is not our intent to make money off of leaving a heifer in our care and realize just how expensive showing cattle is, but we would like to simply cover our costs. We also strongly encourage animals to be insured while in our care. To leave a heifer in our barn will be $20/day at home and $200/day at a show.

This cherry red little sister better not be forgotten. She’s young and a pinch green, but boy I think there is some serious future here. Awesome Evolution female here out of our Evermore donor we own with the Lehrman family. This roan colored female brings a lot of good to the table. Long and extended through her front 1/3, some added shape and dimension, and the icing on the cake is that she has a fantastic first year approved attitude. This one is going to be a fun project for everyone.
Bold and dense Evolution female, that although was a little behind in terms of hair on picture day, is one we really like. This three dimensional female is not only going to show good but make an awesome power cow once she goes into production. Her dam, 839, had a great show career and is backed by the potent 2120.
This heifer is awesome and is going to make someone very happy. She is the first calf out of Caroline Huebner’s Evolution female she exhibited this past year. When “Pebbles” laid down and had this thing, we knew that we had something in that cow and flushed her as soon as we could. This May We All female is an identical clone to her dam, instead just in a blue roan pattern. 320Z will go down as one of my all time favorite cows. At the age of 13, she still looks young and continues to produce quality year in and year out. These next two females are full sisters to Maddie Berg’s many time champion, as well as Kennedy Arthur’s many time champion female. This female is one of the more shaplier, denser ones we’ve ever had, while still possessing that ever so striking look. A splash of chrome will allow you to never be forgotten.
This may be one of my favorite Primo x 320Z sisters to have ever been born. I know that’s a bold statement, considering the show ring success that those females have had, but I believe it. I would definitely find Lot 31 on sale day.
I love Lot 32’s look and composition, but more importantly, she’s one of the first purebred Angus daughters we’ve had that I think mostly resembles Rihanna. I really didn’t want to sell her. If you’re new to our program, Rihanna is a staple around here. She’s the mother of the $100,000 high selling Maine Angus female from the 2024 Family Event that went to the Pryor family and found success, being named Supreme Female at the American Royal Spring Show, and Reserve Supreme at Down For A Cause. Raquel is one of the top Maine donors in our battery and it’s because of females like lot 41. This Good Times female is an absolute show stopper. Another great show heifer prospect, that we believe will go on and be a potent cow for her new owner. Ask our sales manager Kent Jaecke about how good these Good Times x Garth females are, it’s working all over the country.

Awesome Jester female here. This female is as sound as you can make one. So flexible in all her joint work and skeleton. She’s a little green, but with some time this female is going to continue to impress. Her dam derives from the Udell program, who are no strangers to success. We feel the future of this female shines very bright, don’t overlook her on sale day.
Cory Thomsen raised this Maine Angus female, and we were so pumped to include her in this year’s sale offering. She’s out of his potent Envious Blackbird donor, who continues to raise quality year in and year out. I truly believe you can’t have too many of these Maine Angus females, not only do they make tremendous show heifers, but go on to be top notch producers.
Our lone Simmental in the offering. She was raised by two awesome young men, Tray Zabokrtsky and Wyatt Lange. Both of these guys are crucial parts to the success of this operation and we are so lucky to have them on the team. They purchased this heifer’s mother from me several years ago, and she has been a great producer for them. This heifer is a maternal sister to the dominant Percentage Simmental female shown by Gentry Hartman this past year, who dominated the Kansas jackpot circuit. We feel this Change Is Coming female can do the same.
