Hello Folks -

We would like to welcome you all to the Delaney/Atkins Genetic Opportunity Sale.

As Nick and I were tying up the heifers, they were whipping me around like a wet noodle. We finally got them all tied up, and he looked at me and said, “We could sell every cow on the place and just keep these 15 heifer calves, and we wouldn’t miss a beat in the quality of our cowherd—because these girls are good!”

And all I could think was: you’re right! We’re just two years out from our last sale, and that’s how deep these heifer calves are.

The cows selling today are the backbone of the herd that produces calves like these and herd bulls for our upcoming bull sale on February 22nd, 2026. We take a lot of pride in our cowherd—because at the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about: cows that go to work, add value to their calves year after year, and still carry very strong numbers.

Delaney Herefords is proud to host the sale this year. We’ve got some big shoes to fill after our good friends and partners, the Atkins family, hosted it two years ago. We’re going to do our best to live up to the high standards they set!

We’ve gone real deep into the herd to put this kind of offering together— donor cows, fall-bred cows, spring-bred cows, bred heifers, heifer calves, bull calves, and Final Print!

If we can help you in any way, all you have to do is ask. We appreciate your friendship and support.

Jerry Delaney & the Delaney/Atkins Crew

Her dam, 125L, is a maternal sister to Final Print and was a feature in our 2023 Genetic Opportunity Sale going to our good friends at Ollerich Brothers Herefords. Full sister to Lot 2 and maternal sister to Lot 3.

Much like her full sister, 120N combines great phenotype with an elite set of EPDs. Her $ indexes are in the top 4% of the breed or better. It’s easy to see she will generate cattle that are driven for profitability. She has all the pieces to push any progressive program forward.

Extra skeletal width and mass in this heifer, she’s ultra broody and cowy in her appearance. Her dam, 125L, is beautiful as a first calf heifer as we have, big bodied easy keeping with excellent udder quality.

270N offers a unique pedigree. This big spread female is so smooth and attractive in her design. She’s square made, sound and flexible footed at the ground. On paper she reads to be easy calving with extremely high maternal and her pedigree backs that up.

These are the first progeny to sell out of 125L. We are very pleased with both male and female progeny out of this young donor and we are excited to show them off. Maternal sister to Lots 1 and 2.

If you are looking for a foundation type female with donor potential, here she is. Dense made maternal masterpiece. 46N has had the look of a brood cow since day one. Not only is she ideal from the side profile but she also packs a punch when you get in behind her. She is one of the boldest ribbed stoutest heifers in the offering. 46N is the ‘Total Package’ and one you need to find come sale day. 8 traits in the top 11% of the breed or better.

Her Dam,18J, sold in the National Sale to Hoffman Ranch. She is one of our all time favorites.

Three full brothers will highlight our 2026 Bull Sale.

This is a proven mating that has WORKED! This calf is the result of embryos purchased from our Friends at Burns Farms in Tennessee. The dam of this heifer is the famous NJW Rita 157F who continues to produce some of the most valuable cattle in the breed in recent years.

Burns have sold 2 full sisters to this heifer in past sales that have brought $55,000 and 40,000.

The quality of this heifer is tremendous. She is deep sided and soft made and certainly has the look of a top producing cow and donor. To go along with that she has great calving ease and a Birth to Weaning spread of 2.5 to 124. Plus she is pigmented and homozygous polled.

Here is one that you can build a herd around. We will be retaining the right to 2 future flushes at the buyers convenience and at our expense.

We love this heifer and the way she’s built. She’s the right kind with softness of rib, do-ability and soundness. We can’t wait to show off her full brother as he is maybe one of our best ever.

Her dam, 19Z, has cemented herself as a legend in the Hereford breed with several daughters and sons in prominent herds across the US. Most notably, a maternal brother to Lots 6 and 7, Old Fashioned, was the high selling bull in the 2025 National Western Hereford Sale.

Here is a powerhouse herd bull maker with an awesome pedigree. 24N is bold and beautiful with plenty of rib and dimension. She carries all that power so well with a sound build and attractive front 1/3rd.

Her sire Houston has made a name for himself in the breed for siring cattle with extra performance and her dam Mercedes needs no introduction. She has produced numerous high sellers across the country including Makers Mark.

This big spread female offers 10 traits in the top 10% of the breed or better.

Full sister to the $40,000 lead off bull in our 2025 Bulls & Breds sale, JDH Crimson 65M. This female will stop you in your tracks. She’s gorgeous at every turn. It’s hard to make one more picture perfect than this from the profile. Much like her full brother, she has all the look and style you can put in one.

We could continue to talk about her phenotypically but to us her greatest feature is the cow families behind her, the udder quality and generations of great producing cows that give us confidence in her future. Her dam, 97J, has been an absolute rock star and looks phenomenal doing it. With her first calf she raised JDH Explorer 2L who is working for Double Seven Ranch in Oklahoma and her second calf was the aforementioned Crimson going to Stellpflug Cattle Company. Her calf this year by Final Print might be her best yet and will be a feature in our 2026 Bulls & Breds Sale.

DBC. As we move to fall calving cows at Atkins Herefords here is one of the first fall females we produced. Recognize that this heifer is just 12 months old but look at the cow power and pedigree she displays. When 7098 sold at the Birdwell sale to Churchill Cattle, we bought the heifer calf she had at side. That cow has since been sold to Stellpflug Cattle but we retained a daughter, this heifer’s dam, and she is doing an outstanding job. This heifer just looks like a front pasture cow in the making plus she has a great EPD profile with Marbling, SCF, $BMI and $CHB all in the top 1% of the breed. If you like good cattle look here. Final Print is the true curve bending, proven sire of the Hereford breed. He is the ONLY proven sire in the breed with a BW EPD below 0 and with WW above 80 or YW above 120. He has over 660 calves with birth weight data and the average BW ratio is 97.9. His calves go on to have an average weaning ratio of 102 and yearling ratio of 101.6. As a female producer, his first 38 daughters in production have an average weaning ratio on their calves of 103. His EPD’s for Teat and Udder are both in the top 1% of the breed. To go along with that, Mature Cow Weight is well below breed average being in the top 35% of the breed. His carcass traits put him in the top 5% of the breed for $CHB. Final Print is pigmented and freckle faced and passing this along to his calves. At 5 years of age he remains extremely sound with excellent feet.

I cannot say enough about the impact he is having on our programs. He has produced high selling cattle for us and for breeders all across the nation. His influence in our herds will be seen in the coming years as we bring more daughters into the herd. He has been used extensively by the owners and semen sales continue to be strong. With the numbers of daughters that we are breeding we have decided to share this great bull that is in his prime.

We are offering full possession and in-herd semen use of Final Print. Possession is available immediately following this sale. He sells with 100 units of semen for the buyers in herd use, stored at Custom Genetics Solutions, Mitchell SD. All semen and certificate sales are retained by the sellers. The sellers reserve the right to collect additional semen at our expense and at the buyers’ convenience. It has been our pleasure to have this stud walk our pastures the past years and here is your opportunity to do the same.

Final Print is owned by Atkins Herefords, Dvorak Herefords and Thomas Herefords.

Here is a young female that has serious donor potential. This two-year-old is as gorgeous as you can make one. Beautiful uddered, excellent EPDs and an elite cow family behind her. We still have her great grandmother roaming the pastures at JDH and at 13 years old, her grandmother is working at Atkins Herefords and her mother resides in our donor pen at JDH. That exemplifies the kind of fertility and longevity we strive for.

Her sire, Benton, has taken the breed by storm as of late with multiple sons and daughters highlighting sales across the country. We feel this female has as much quality as any.

Here is a heifer with a star studded pedigree and a great EPD profile. Sired by Entice she is a daughter of 8032 the dam of Final Print who sold in our 2023 sale to Express Ranches and GKB Cattle.

This young female is pigmented and off to a good start with her first calf. He was a light birthweight calf with loads of vigor and was up and sucking immediately. He will have a very nice EPD profile.

Homozygous Polled.

We wanted to offer some of our best young females and this one fits the bill. She is a pigmented daughter of Entice and out of the famous Reagan 8212, now donor for Stellpflug Cattle and the dam of some of the feature lots in their recent sale. This young girl is big bodied and bigger framed with loads of performance. She did an outstanding job on her first calf which had a weaning weight ratio of 112!

We thought she was stuck AI for an early August calf but then came back in heat and was observed bred to 4B Garfield 338 on January 7th for a mid October calf. We think this will be a great mating for her.

This heifer comes from the most productive, powerful cow family to come out of our operation. Her dam is a daughter of the famed 88X and out of 34X, making her a maternal sister to 19Z, 45C, Munson and more. Her sire is Final Print whose first 38 daughters have an average weaning weight ratio of 103 on their calves. This heifer is put together right and should make a great producing female. At 6 years old her dam has a great udder with very small teats and is raising a beautiful heifer calf.

Pasture exposed to 4B Garfield 338 from 4/22/25 to 8/7/25. Vet called safe for a mid February calf.

This female might be one of the most intriguing in the sale. We purchased her mother from Birdwell Ranch and she is just getting started here. 103M’s EPDs are excellent across the board and her carcass figures are in the upper echelon of the breed with a .64 Marb and 195 CHB. She is red eyed and offers big time performance on foot. Not to mention she’s bred safe AI to Crimson. She has unique qualities that might push her into the donor pen.
