Grapes: 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc
Description: Our PEZAT ROSÉ is Provençal in style, with a twist. Made up of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc these varieties play a pivotal role in adding great fruit intensity to our moreish style. 2016 will be remembered throughout Bordeaux as a great vintage producing exceptionally balanced and deliciously ripe fruit. The result is a fresh, elegant wine with a superb red berry fragrance and a delicious dry finish.
Food Match: Aperitif snacks, seafood, Cobb Salad, barbecues.
Vinification: Grapes are picked early to conserve their freshness, and after macerating overnight under CO₂ protection in a pneumatic press, the grapes are lightly pressed. The resulting juice is chilled and racked before a cool fermentation takes place in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. Each variety is fermented separately and blended before fining.
