The EVAPORATOR is located in the passenger cab and is where the refrigerant goes from liquid back to gas form. The evaporation of the refrigerant removes heat from the inside of the passenger cabin. The COMPRESSOR is the “engine” that powers the whole process, pumping the
refrigerant through the system and low-pressure gas to high pressure gas, low temperature gas to high temperature gas. This hot gas will be turned back to a liquid form and cooled off by the condenser.
