PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
It is with immense pride and gratitude that I share the incredible achievements of our Year 12 students in the 2024 HSC. Their hard work, resilience, and commitment have resulted in exceptional outcomes that reflect the strength of our learning community and the dedication of our staff.
Key highlights from this year’s results include: 41 Band 6 results, placing us as the Highest Ranked Catholic School on the Central Coast for top band results and achieving the third highest number of top band results of all Schools on the Central Coast.
Christopher Dodd was recognised as an All Rounder, achieving Top Bands in every course and earning an outstanding ATAR of 98.5. Joshua Malek achieved the highest ATAR of 98.9, an extraordinary accomplishment.
St Edward’s College saw improvement in our Overall School Ranking in NSW and our Band 6 rate, showcasing the growth and dedication of our students and staff.
Our student success rate includes 8% of students achieved an ATAR above 90; 17% of students achieved an ATAR above 80, reflecting the consistent academic excellence across the cohort.
Our students have also excelled in creative and practical disciplines, with multiple prestigious nominations which include nine SHAPE Industrial Technology Nominations and two ARTEXPRESS Nominations.
In addition to these impressive academic accomplishments, we also celebrate the remarkable achievements of students who excelled in their VET and TVET Courses and have attained apprenticeships, commenced TAFE courses or fulltime work in other fields. These students gained invaluable practical experience while pursuing their career goals, demonstrating initiative, drive, and a commitment to building their futures. Their success is a testament to the diverse talents and aspirations within our student body and further enriches the vibrant community we have cultivated at St Edward’s College. These results are a testament to the collaborative efforts of our students, teachers, and families, whose shared commitment to excellence continues to shape the success of our community.
