YVRA crash investigation continues Family members continuing efforts at recovery BY SCOTT FRANZ FOR THE DAILY PRESS

Investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board on Tuesday morning concluded their on-site inspection of the plane that crashed Sunday at Yampa Valley Regional Airport in Hayden, killing two people. The investigation will continue next week after the plane is transported to a hangar on the Front Range. Airport Manager Dave Ruppel said a team of investigators from the NTSB, the Federal Aviation Administration, Cessna and Continental, which manufactured the plane’s engine, spent Monday and Tuesday taking photos and measurements at the crash site in an effort to determine what caused See CRASH on page 12

own life Christmas Day 2010. But on Sept. 21, 2011, “he was the happiest I had seen him for a long time,” she said. That unexpected ray of hope didn’t last.

Instead, as Jeana painfully learned, it was a harbinger for tragedy to come. On Sept. 22, Levi also took his own life. “People say that time heals
