Beyond the Curriculum

Girls across the junior and senior school extend their learning beyond the end of the school day in the many activities on offer. I am delighted to share some highlights.

Dance

Our competitive dance teams travelled to Melbourne to compete in DanceLife Unite, where the junior company placed first in contemporary, senior company placed second in contemporary and our combined company placed first in jazz. At The Hills Dance Spectacular, senior company placed second and received ‘most entertaining’ for their contemporary routine Sand. Our junior and intermediate dance teams culminated at the DanceLife Unite Nationals at Luna Park, where the junior dance team placed first with Danger Zone and the intermediate dance team placed third with Toy Story. The annual BTC dance showcase GRAVITY was held at the NIDA Parade Theatre. It was a spectacular display of talent, creativity and professionalism from our girls and staff, and a fitting end to a successful year in dance.

Gymnastics

In rhythmic gymnastics Charlotte Davidson was selected on the NSW state team and competed at the 2018 Australian Championships. Charlotte performed a personal best in ribbon and assisted NSW to secure bronze in the team event.
