MESSAGE FROM ADMINISTRATION Dear St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School Families, The countdown to the end of school is on with just 4 days to go! We can’t believe how fast time is flying by. Thank you to all of our parents and volunteers who were on campus today to make Fun Field Day a success. It was a great day for everyone!

Monday is a school holiday for Memorial Day. We hope everyone enjoys the 3-day weekend. Please join us for end of the year activities including 8th grade graduation, kindergarten celebration and the end of year assembly.

Good luck to the Class of 2018 as they prepare for their graduation next Wednesday. It is an important milestone in their education. We recognize and appreciate the hard work, dedication and perseverance that has gone into getting them to this point. As they prepare to leave STAOPCS we wish them well knowing that they are ready to go out and make a difference in the world.

Our discipleship message for the week is about the adventures that God has planned for each one of us. Jeremiah 29:11 says “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

He wants us to come to Him with a heart that is willing to be changed both as a school community and as individuals in the community. He doesn’t want us to focus on the mistakes we made in the past, but instead to focus on doing things His way.

God knows that he is asking a lot of us and that trying new things can be frightening. But he also knows each one of us and He understands us completely. As a school and as His people we can trust in Him to wrap us in His love – a love that never ends. No matter where we are today or through the summer months we need to remember to keep God close. He will guide us. He will take us on a journey and new adventures that will change who we are. We will learn to see the world and people around us differently, through His eyes. As His Disciples we know that when we are asked to try new things, He is there with us every step of the way. Keeping our focus on following God’s plan for our lives we will return to school in the fall stronger in our faith and in our love for God and one another.

The first tuition payments for ’18-’19 are due next Friday, June 1st. We continue to accept and process applications for PreK3, Pre-K4, 2nd, 3rd and 7th grades for next year, so spread the word. Waiting lists continue to grow at other grade levels.

A reminder that payments on all school accounts for this year must be up to date for report cards and school records to be released next week.

We gather at the table with our parish family this weekend to celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. In the Gospel we will hear that Jesus commissions His disciples to baptize the world in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit revealing Holy Trinity to us. Maybe we’ll see each other at Mass. God's blessings to everyone for a great last week of school!

All students who are interested in participating in fall athletics should complete the following form by May 25th!

St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School is currently searching for an energetic, knowledgeable person to serve as a Middle School volleyball coach. This is a coaching stipend only position. Practice starts August 14, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Teams usually practice 3 or 4 days/week (M, TU, W, & TH - 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.) until games begin.

Once games start teams would practice twice and play twice a week. Games are normally on Mondays and Wednesdays. Volleyball season lasts until Mid – October. All coaches are required to complete VIRTUS Training. For more information please contact: Dale Quickel, 281-296-0300, dquickel@staopcs.org
