MESSAGE FROM ADMINISTRATION Dear St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School Families, Happy Mother’s Day goes to all of our mothers, grandmothers and godmothers in the school community. We hope your day will be filled with joy and wonderful blessings. Thank you to everyone who has made our Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week so wonderful. We have been so blessed by the generosity of our school community. The first tuition payments for ’18’19 are due on June 1st. We continue to accept and process applications for Pre-K3, Pre-K4, 2nd, 3rd and 7th grades for next year, so spread the word. Waiting lists continue to grow at other grade levels.

Our discipleship message for the week is about gratitude. It is important for us to remember that God is our creator and has given us everything in life including life itself. So, how often do we take time to thank God for all the things He has given us? We learn from the time we are young that it is polite to thank someone for doing something nice for us. Most of us, however, are not used to expressing gratitude to God for all the things He has given us. It’s easy to thank God for good things. But if we can thank God even in the bad times, our faith will grow stronger. When you’re going through tough times, don’t look at what has been lost.

Look at what you have left, and be grateful for it. We can also be thankful to God just for being God. Through it all we should give Him our gratitude for all that comes our way.

Gratitude will bring us closer to God. We have an abundance of end of year activities in the next few weeks. We’ll be bringing Fine Arts Week to a close with the middle school musical production of High School Musical next Wednesday. Our new principal, Mrs. Veronica Tucker will be on campus next Friday morning for an informal Meet & Greet with families. Please join us from 7:40 a.m.— 8:30 a.m. to welcome our new principal. Middle school exams are on the way followed by 8th grade graduation, Kindergarten celebration and much more. You’ll want to get the activities on your calendar so you don’t miss out on the fun.

We gather at table with our parish family this weekend for the seventh Sunday of Easter. In the Gospel, Jesus gathers His disciples for His final command before ascending into Heaven – preach the Gospel to the world. This command becomes the mission of the Church. How do you and I preach the Gospel each day? Maybe we’ll see each other at Mass. God's blessings to everyone for a great week!

ALL–SCHOOL NEWS 4TH QUARTER STEWARDSHIP PROJECT This year, our 4th Quarter Stewardship Project will benefit St. Anthony’s Bread Food Pantry.

The pantry is located right here on campus and serves to fight hunger in our community. St. Anthony’s Bread functions solely on the donation of food from our parish. We are excited to work with the Food Pantry to help those in our very own neighborhoods.  Each class is assigned an item to bring in for the food pantry.  Please have your child bring the item to their homeroom from May 14th to May 25th.  If unable to bring in by May 25th, you can still donate to the Pantry by leaving the food inside one of the barrels located in the piazza outside the parish office.  The list is based on the current needs of St. Anthony’s Bread.  Pre-K3 – Canned Soup  Pre-K4 – Tomato Sauce  Kindergarten – Boxed Desserts (Brownie Mix, Cake Mix, etc.)  1st Grade – Baking Items (Flour, Sugar, etc.)  2nd Grade – Canned Soup  3rd Grade – Tomato Sauce  4th Grade – Boxed Desserts (Brownie Mix, Cake Mix, etc.)  5th Grade – Baking Items (Flour, Sugar, etc.)  6th Grade – Canned Soup  7th Grade – Tomato Sauce  8th Grade – Boxed Desserts (Brownie Mix, Cake Mix, etc.)

Store Policy: We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and Cash. All orders must be paid in full at the time of ordering and before any merchandise can be shipped. All shipped orders include a shipping fee of $10.00. NO COD’S. Exchanges may be made by coming into the store, or mailing/shipping the merchandise back with a note stating what we need to do. Alterations are the responsibility of the customer. All sizes are standard sizes.

We do not accept any merchandise for return that has been washed, worn, altered, or have names written in them, EXCEPT in the case of manufacturing defects. PLEASE TRY ON ALL UNIFORM ITEMS BEFORE YOU WASH OR ALTER THEM. All items must be in their original condition and tags must still be attached to garment to receive credit or exchange.

Returns made within 4 months of purchase: Cash refunds over $50.00 will be issued a refund check from our corporate office in New Jersey. Please allow two (2) weeks to receive a refund. Refunds on merchandise paid for by credit card will be issued a credit on the same credit card.

Returns made after 4 months of purchase: Regardless of payment method, all returns dated after 4 months will receive a Risse Brothers gift card.

Any purchase made by gift card or gift card and secondary method will receive a refund in the form of a gift card equal to the amount of the original card used and any additional funds owed will be given applying the rules listed above.

The following merchandise may not be returned: • Special/Custom Sizes • Items purchased during a special or discounted sale • Logoed items for schools that do not have an active uniform program with Risse Brothers • Logoed items that have been discontinued by the school or are no longer part of the uniform program We accept phone orders with a credit card as long as you know your sizes. Any orders placed during the month of May will ship after June 1st when the retail store opens.
