THE MESSENGER February 9, 2018 staopcs.org

PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS O loving and gracious God, Father of all, you bless your people in every time and season and provide for their needs through your providential care. Your Church is continually in need of priests, sisters and brothers to offer themselves in the service of the gospel by lives of dedicated love. Open the hearts of your sons and daughters to listen to your call in their lives. Give them the gift of understanding to discern your invitation to serve you and your Church. Give them the gift of courage to follow your call. May they have the spirit of young Samuel who found fulfillment in his life when he said to you, "Speak Lord, for your servant is listening." We ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen. We introduced a Vocations Cross and prayer during Catholic Schools Week! The cross will travel between classrooms each week and each class will pray the Vocations Prayer daily. Join us in praying for vocations at home!

New families will register with their own email address. They meet with the other grade level teacher in the spring.  Parents of middle school students must choose one of their child’s teachers to conference with. In planning, we have allowed for only one conference per parent/student. You may choose to conference with a teacher from whom your child needs extra academic support OR your child’s advisor. Congratulations to the Amparan Family! They won priority scheduling for Fall and Spring conferences at the Auction Gala last year. This allows their family priority sign–ups for both conferences. This auction item will be available to bid on again this year at our Gala on April 13, 2018.
