Transcend provides an opportunity to bring a tabernacle into our main church and enhance its sacred beauty; we embrace the timeless wisdom conveyed by St. Augustine: “Beauty is the reflection of truth.” Every facet of our Church’s life, from the Liturgy to our acts of service, is a testament to the truth that Jesus is our Lord and Savior. It is our deep desire to create an environment that transcends the ordinary, captivating those who enter and guiding them toward the real presence of Christ. OUR HISTORY

St. Ann Parish began as a small mission church 40 years ago and has grown into one of the largest parishes in Texas, serving over 8,000 families every weekend. As a thriving and diverse faith community, we are blessed with over 80 ministries and organizations, plus dedicated lay leaders and clergy committed to offering all who seek Jesus across North Texas a place to encounter Jesus in a powerful and personal way.

OUR PLAN

With a rich history of serving the local community, St. Ann has been a beacon of faith for over four decades. As we embrace the National Eucharistic Revival, we are embarking on a meaningful journey by placing a tabernacle at the heart of our sacred space. Carefully designed, the tabernacle and its accompanying artwork and structures will enhance the reverence of the Eucharist. Adorned walls with thoughtfully selected paint and intricate designs will create a captivating backdrop, drawing attention to the tabernacle. This transformation aims to deepen our understanding that our sacred spaces go beyond the ordinary.

With your support, Transcend allows us to enhance our parish in various ways, from how we worship in Mass to how we form our children in this new space. With your help, we are confident in realizing this vision and fostering ongoing spiritual growth for Coppell and the wider North Texas region.

Within the walls, a beautifully adorned church transcends its physical form, becoming a haven that beckons the faithful and those seeking solace to encounter the living presence of Jesus.

Just as grand cathedrals have historically inspired awe and wonder, our church will extend

a warm invitation to encounter Jesus. The visual allure becomes a parable of love, asking all to explore and experience the depth of faith. Your invaluable support for this transformative project plays a pivotal role in shaping an environment that whispers to the depths of every soul— extending a heartfelt invitation to immerse in His boundless love and grace.

FEATURES

DOME

The dome mural centers on the Assumption of Mary, portraying her completion of earthly life and ascent to Heaven. Encircling this central theme, eight Romanesque dome lunettes symbolize new beginnings and resurrection, drawing parallels to the eight appearances of Jesus after His Resurrection. The mural features 19 saints, chosen to reflect those in our altar, embody the charisms of our church, represent our faith community, span the diverse history of the church, and serve as inspirations for proclaiming Christ in our contemporary world.

TABERNACLE REREDOS

In the Old Testament, the Ark of the Covenant symbolized God’s covenant and was placed in the Holy of Holies within the Tabernacle. Similarly, our church’s tabernacle contains Christ’s real presence in the Eucharist. The Transcend campaign aims to bring the Tabernacle into our sanctuary, enhancing our sacred space. Your support makes this goal a reality, bringing greater focus to the Eucharist in the life of the church.

Our Reredos—a majestic 20-foot masterpiece crafted from wood, adorned with faux marble and delicate gold leaf accents—enhances the visual and spiritual aesthetics of our worship space. Flanked by statues of St. Ann and Our Lady, the Reredos cradles the new Tabernacle at its center, featuring a crucifix that draws attention to the sacrificial act of Jesus on the cross during the celebration of the Eucharist.

PROSCENIUM ARCH

The proscenium arch helps direct our gaze to the Sanctuary. Framing the apse with an elevated decorative scheme, including Trompe l’oeil borders, intricate scrolls, and a banner inscribed with the Latin phrase “HIC EST FILIUS MEUS DILECTUS IN QUO MIHI BENE CONPLACUIT IPSUM AUDITE” (translating to “THIS IS MY BELOVED SON WITH WHOM I AM WELL PLEASED, LISTEN TO HIM”), this architectural element supports the Lamb of God mural and guides our eyes to the altar and sanctuary.

APSE MURAL

Inspired by Raphael’s work, the Apse Mural brings the Transfiguration to life, unveiling the radiant glory of Christ. In this artwork, envision yourself among the disciples, ascending with Jesus during Mass and descending, like the apostles, to share the Gospel. The mural becomes a space to reflect on your journey and prompts a response to the call to bring the Good News to our communities.

SIDE PERSPECTIVE

BAPTISTRY

The baptistery, adorned with a dove graphic against the sky, enhances the symbolism inherent in the truth of Baptism. The dove, symbolizing peace and the Holy Spirit, seamlessly aligns with the sacrament’s reality of being freed from sin and reborn as sons and daughters of God (CCC 1213). The clouded sky backdrop adds a heavenly ambiance, intensifying the spiritual depth of this sacred rite.

Install a tabernacle and enhance the church with fresh paint, new/enhanced sacred art murals, and ambulatory screens (art glass behind altar).

PHASE 2: CELEBRATION GOAL

Complete the church beautification with a new sound system and improved lighting.

$5 million

Complete phases 1 and 2, and add a larger adoration chapel and a new playground.

SUPPORTIVE PRAYER

The greatest gift you can give is your time spent in prayer for the campaign. Please pray for the continued blessing of our parish and our vision.

PLEDGES

Pledges are commitments made in good faith but are not legally binding. We ask that you consider making a pledge over a three-year period to maximize the total amount of your support. A donor may fulfill a commitment through monthly, quarterly, semiannual, or annual installments.

CASH/CHECK/CREDIT CARD

Gifts of cash are most common and allow the parish to address its immediate needs. Donating cash is as simple as writing a check, authorizing a charge on your credit card (Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover) or arranging for an automatic withdraw from your bank account.

SECURITIES

Appreciated Stocks, bonds, or mutual fund shares can have an immediate impact on our campaign and create an income tax deduction for you based on their current value. Since there is no capital gains tax when you make a charitable gift, you receive an additional tax benefit above the charitable gift donation.

MATCHING GIFTS

Several local companies offer employee-matching gift programs. This allows a donor to maximize their giving potential. PLANNED GIFTS/DONOR-ADVISED FUNDS

Planned giving is the process of carefully selecting the best method and asset for making a charitable gift. Such a gift can enable you to take full advantage of the tax laws to accomplish your financial and charitable goals. Planned gifts can be made through bequests by will or living trusts, charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, charitable gift annuities, beneficiary benefits from life insurance, IRAs, pensions, or financial accounts.
