Do you offer Apprenticeships?

Yes, our Apprenticeship programmes combine real work experience with structured study - allowing you to earn while you learn.

• Open to anyone aged 16+

• Minimum 30 hours/week with 20% off-the-job training

• Fully funded by employers (via levy or 95% government subsidy)

Employers: We’ll help you recruit, train, and retain skilled professionals.

AAT Award in Business Skills Level 1

Entry requirements With this qualification, there is no need for any prior knowledge or qualifications. However, we do require students to be confident readers and writers (Level 1) so that they can take the exam.

Duration Part-time: 2 days per week for 2 weeks.

AAT Award in Bookeeping Level 1

Entry requirements With this qualification, there is no need for any prior knowledge or qualifications. However, we do require students to be confident readers and writers (Level 1) so that they can take the exam.

Duration Part-time: 2 days per week for 1.5 weeks.

Excel

Microsoft Excel Skills Training (Foundation) Level 1

Entry requirements To be successful in this course, you should be familiar with using personal computers and you should have used the mouse and keyboard. You should be comfortable in the Windows environment and be able to use Windows to manage information on the computer. Specifically, you should be able to launch and close programs; navigate to information stored on the computer; and manage files and folders.

Duration Part-time: 9 hours.

Microsoft Excel Skills Training (Advanced) Level 2

Entry requirements This course is meant for those desiring to gain the advanced Excel skills necessary for calculating data, using functions and formulas, filtering and sorting data, using Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts to analyse data and find solutions to business problems.

Duration Part-time: 9 hours.

Accounting

AAT Certificate in Accounting Level 2

Entry requirements There are no formal entry requirements for this course. Previous knowledge of accounting or a Level 1 Bookkeeping qualification would be advantageous but not essential. You do require a good grasp of English (working at Level 1). Alternatively, if you are employed in the accounting sector, you may wish to consider the level 2 Accounts or Finance Assistant Apprenticeship.

Duration 3 hours every other week plus approx. 3 hours self-study.

AAT Certificate in Bookkeeping Level 2

Entry requirements There are no formal entry requirements for this course. Previous knowledge of accounting or a Level 1 Bookkeeping qualification would be advantageous but not essential. You do require a good grasp of English (working at level 1).

Duration 3 hours every other week plus approx. 3 hours self-study.

This is the first half of Accounting Level 2.

AAT Certificate in Accounting (Top-Up) Level 2

Entry requirements You are required to have achieved L2 Bookkeeping certificate.

Duration 3 hours every other week plus approx. 3 hours self-study.

This is the second half of Accounting level 2.

AAT Diploma in Accounting Level 3

Entry requirements You must have completed the AAT Certificate in Accounting (Level 2) or equivalent or have sound experience in finance. Exemptions are available if you have studied the AAT Certificate in Bookkeeping (Level 3) or Accounting A levels. Alternatively, if you are employed in the accounting sector, you may wish to consider the level 3 Assistant Accountant apprenticeship.

Duration 3 hours per week plus approx. 3 hours self-study.

AAT Certificate in Bookkeeping Level 3

Entry requirements You must have completed the AAT Certificate in Accounting (Level 2) or equivalent or have sound experience in finance.

Duration 3 hours per week plus approx. 3 hours self-study.

AAT Diploma in Accounting (Top-Up) Level 3

Entry requirements You must have completed the AAT Certificate in Bookkeeping (Level 3) or equivalent or have sound experience in finance.

Duration 3 hours per week plus approx. 3 hours self-study.

This is the second half of Accounting Level 3.

AAT Diploma in Professional Accounting Level 4

Entry requirements You must have completed the AAT Diploma in Accounting (Level 3) or equivalent; or have significant experience working in the finance sector. Alternatively, if you are employed in the accounting sector, you may wish to consider the Level 4 Professional Accounting or Taxation Technician Apprenticeship.

Duration 3 - 6 hours per week plus approx. 3 hours of self-study.

ACCA Applied

Entry requirements To start studying for the Applied exams you must have either completed the AAT Diploma in Accounting (Level 4), ACCA’s Applied Knowledge exams, the ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business (RQF Level 4) or have a relevant accounting or finance qualification at degree level. You can select the modules you wish to enrol on.

Duration Part-time: 6 - 10 weeks, 6 hours per week.

ACCA Strategic

Entry requirements To start studying for the Applied Strategic exams, you must have completed the ACCA applied exams. You can select the modules you wish to enrol on.

Duration Part-time: 6 - 10 weeks, 6 hours per week.

BSc (Hons) Business Management (Management Accounting)

Entry requirements 72 UCAS Points from a related subject and 5 GCSE grades C/4 or above including English and Maths. If you have completed the Foundation Degree in Business Management at UCP you can start Level 6 of the BSc (Hons) Business Management to obtain a full honours degree.

Duration Full-time: 3 years (2 full days a week over two semesters per year). Part-time: 4 years (1-2 full days a week over two semesters per year).

Accounting Apprenticeships

Accounts / Finance Assistant Apprenticeship Level 2

Entry requirements Applicants will need to be employed in a relevant accounting role. Good keyboarding skills are essential as well as a good knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Duration 12 - 14 months.

Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship Level 3

Entry requirements Applicants will need to be employed in a relevant accounting role. 5 GCSEs with maths and English at Grade 5/C or Functional Skills Level 2 English and maths. Good keyboarding skills are essential as well as a good knowledge of Microsoft Office. You must have completed the AAT Certificate in Accounting (Level 2) or equivalent; or have sound experience working in the finance sector. Exemptions are available if you have studied the AAT Certificate in Bookkeeping (Level 3) or Accounting A Levels.

Duration 15 months.

Professional Accounting / Tax Technician Apprenticeship Level 4

Entry requirements Applicants will need to be employed in a relevant accounting role. You must have a sound knowledge of accounting principles to undertake the AAT Level 4 programme. Achievement of an AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting is essential.

Duration 18 months.

Accountancy / Taxation Professional Apprenticeship Level 7

Entry requirements To start studying for this Level 7 Apprenticeship, you must have achieved AAT (Level 4) or have a relevant accounting or finance qualification at degree level.

Duration 36 months.

Leadership and Management

CMI Award in Principles of Management and Leadership Level 3

Entry requirements For the CMI Level 3 Award in Principles of Management and Leadership, there are no formal entry requirements, but learners should have a good understanding of the English language and basic ICT skills, and ideally be working in a relevant role or have relevant experience.

Duration Part-time: 9 weeks, 3 hours every week plus approx. 3 hours self-study.

CMI Certificate in Principles of Management and Leadership Level 3

Entry requirements For the CMI Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Management and Leadership, there are no formal entry requirements, but learners should have a good understanding of the English language and basic ICT skills, and ideally be working in a relevant role or have relevant experience. There are exemptions for those who have completed the CMI Level 3 Award.

Duration Part-time: 15 weeks, 3 hours every week plus approx. 3 hours self-study.

CMI Diploma in Principles of Management and Leadership Level 3

Entry requirements For the CMI Level 3 Diploma in Principles of Management and Leadership, there are no formal entry requirements, but learners should have a good understanding of the English language and basic ICT skills, and ideally be working in a relevant role or have relevant experience. There are exemptions for those who have completed the CMI Level 3 Award or Certificate. If you are employed in the accounting sector, you may wish to consider the Level 3 Team Leader/Supervisor Apprenticeship.

Duration Part-time: 48 weeks, 3 hours every week plus approx. 3 hours self-study.

CMI Award in Management and Leadership Level 5

Entry requirements For the CMI Level 5 Principles of Management and Leadership, there are no formal entry requirements, but you should be working or aspiring to work in a middle management role and possess good numeracy and literacy skills. On completion, you could progress to BSc Business Management degrees, see page 38.

Duration Part-time: 7 weeks, 3 hours every week plus approx. 3 hours self-study.

CMI Certificate in Management and Leadership Level 5

Entry requirements For the CMI Level 5 Principles of Management and Leadership, there are no formal entry requirements, but you should be working or aspiring to work in a middle management role and possess good numeracy and literacy skills. On completion, you could progress to BSc Business Management degrees, see page 38.

Duration Part-time: 16 weeks, 3 hours every week plus approx. 3 hours self-study.

CMI Diploma in Management and Leadership Level 5

Entry requirements For the CMI Level 5 Principles of Management and Leadership, there are no formal entry requirements, but you should be working or aspiring to work in a middle management role and possess good numeracy and literacy skills. If you are employed in the accounting sector, you may wish to consider the Level 5 Operations Manager Apprenticeship. On completion, you could progress to BSc Business Management degrees, see page 38.

Duration Part-time: 48 weeks, 3 hours every week plus approx. 3 hours self-study.

Foundation Degree in Business Management

Entry requirements 48 UCAS Points and 5 GCSE grades C/4 or above including English and Maths.

Duration Full-time: 2 years (2 full days a week over two semesters per year).

BSc (Hons) Business Management

Entry requirements 72 UCAS Points from a related subject and 5 GCSE grades C/4 or above including English and Maths. If you have completed the Foundation Degree in Business Management at UCP you can start Level 6 of the BSc (Hons) Business Management to obtain a full honours degree.

Duration Full-time: 3 years (2 full days a week over two semesters per year). Part-time: 4 years (1-2 full days a week over two semesters per year).

BSc (Hons) Business Management (Human Resources Management)

Entry requirements 72 UCAS Points from a related subject and 5 GCSE grades C/4 or above including English and Maths. If you have completed the Foundation Degree in Business Management at UCP you can start Level 6 of the BSc (Hons) Business Management to obtain a full honours degree.

Duration Full-time: 3 years (2 full days a week over two semesters per year). Part-time: 4 years (1-2 full days a week over two semesters per year).

Leadership and Management Apprenticeships

Team Leader / Supervisor Apprenticeship

Level 3

Entry requirements Applicants will need to be employed in a relevant role (key responsibilities are likely to include supporting, managing and developing team members, managing projects, planning and monitoring workloads and resources, delivering operational plans, resolving problems, and building relationships internally and externally). You may be responsible for leading people, managing people, building relationships, effective communicator, operational management, project management, finance compliance, self-awareness, self-management, effective decision making, takes responsibility, inclusive, agile and demonstrates professionalism. 5 GCSEs with Maths and English at Grade 5/C or Functional Skills Level 2 English and Maths. Good keyboarding skills are essential as well as a good knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Duration 15 months.

Operations Manager Apprenticeship Level 5

Entry requirements Applicants will need to be employed in a relevant role (Key responsibilities are likely to include supporting, managing and developing team members, managing projects, planning and monitoring workloads and resources, delivering operational plans, resolving problems, and building relationships internally and externally). You may be responsible for leading people, managing people, building relationships, effective communicator, operational management, project management, finance compliance, self-awareness, self-management, effective decision making, takes responsibility, inclusive, agile and demonstrates professionalism. 5 GCSEs with Maths and English at Grade 5/C or Functional Skills Level 2 English and Maths. Good keyboarding skills are essential as well as a good knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Duration 24 months.

Depending upon your level of study, you may be able to enrol directly on to a degree programme, or top-up your qualification to a degree.

DipHE in Digital Marketing and Communications (HTQ)

Entry requirements 5 GCSE grades C/4 or above, including English, Maths and Science and 48 UCAS points, which should be from a related subject in one of the following: A Levels, BTEC Level 3 National Diploma, Cambridge Technicals, Access to HE (45 credits) or related work experience.

Duration Full-time: 2 years (2 full days a week over two semesters per year).

BSc (Hons) Business Management (Marketing)

Entry requirements 72 UCAS Points from a related subject and 5 GCSE grades C/4 or above including English and Maths. If you have completed the Foundation Degree in Business Management at UCP you can start Level 6 of the BSc (Hons) Business Management to obtain a full honours degree.

Duration Full-time: 3 years (2 full days a week over two semesters per year). Part-time: 4 years (1-2 full days a week over two semesters per year).

BA (Hons) Digital Marketer

Entry requirements 72 UCAS points and 5 GCSE grades C/4 or above including English and Maths which should be from a related subject.

Duration Full-time: 3 years (2 full days a week over two semesters per year). Part-time: 4 years (1-2 full days a week over two semesters per year).

Marketing Apprenticeships

Digital Marketer (Integrated Degree) Apprenticeship Standard Level 6

Entry requirements This course is subject to validation but you would typically require grades C/4 or above in GCSE English and maths and a Level 3 qualification in a related subject.

Duration 36 months.
