What’s On

St Albans Cathedral, home to Britain’s first saint, is the oldest site of continuous Christian worship in Britain.
“Happy New Year and welcome to St Albans Cathedral. As 2023 gets underway once again this What’s On Guide is packed with things to do here at the Cathedral. We warmly invite you to join us. In this season we turn from the winter celebration of The Epiphany towards spring and the journey of Lent and the and hope and new life of Easter. In these months ahead from sacred music and concerts, lectures and tours and a coffee in the Abbot’s Kitchen, to activities for children, young people and their families, there is something for everyone here at the Abbey. All this is undergirded by the Abbey’s daily rhythm of prayer. The pages ahead give details of regular and special services here. Whether you are able to come here regularly or this is your first visit - you are very welcome here!
