Roman Festival Week

Wednesday 18 January - Friday 20 January Ideal for Key Stage 2, pupils have the chance to take part in our popular Roman Festival Day which includes a carousel of three workshops, and the chance to meet our very own Roman Soldier! Workshops include Alban and the Romans, Roman Food and Artefact Blanket Dig. £9 per pupil, email education@stalbanscathedral.org to book.

Virtual History Day

Tuesday 31 January, 10.30am and 1.30pm Join us as we introduce a variety of characters from the past right into the heart of your classroom in these live, interactive workshops, ideal for Key Stage 2 and lasting up to 60 minutes. Interviewed by our intrepid reporter and questioned by your own children, each character uses a range of artefacts to bring the past to life. The workshop covers a period of history of your choice to include Romans, Saxons, Vikings, Tudors and Victorians. £75 per class, email education@stalbanscathedral.org to book.

Science Festival

Wednesday 1 March - Friday 3 March, 10am - 2.30pm Join us and the team from Mad Science as we turn the Cathedral into a science lab! Aimed at upper Key Stage 2 children, pupils will have an introductory session from Atomic Aimee followed by a carousel of three workshops about light, forces and gravity, and materials. Throw teddy bears off the Cathedral tower, experiment with UV lights and make your own space rockets in this explosive day out. £9 per pupil, email education@stalbanscathedral.org to book.
