Saturday 4 February - Sunday 26 February Start the new year with a reflective and ambitious interactive exhibition made in collaboration with St Albans’ asylum seekers. Embark on a striking journey in their lives, experiences and hopes for the future as you explore a varied array of artworks, writings and music used as a storytelling tool. Connecting tradition and new media, this exhibition aims to cast light on the challenges that millions of people around the world face every year when they are forced to break all ties with the past and begin anew. Free admission, donations welcome.
Cultural Identity | An Oaklands College Design Exhibition
Wednesday 19 April - Wednesday 26 April Immerse yourself in an exhibition of print making, ceramics, graphic design and textile works created by Level 3, year 1 art students at Oaklands College in St Albans. Explore what cultural identity means to a wide range of different cultures and learn about ESOL students’ personal stories through a collection of artworks that seek to educate and inspire the viewer. Free admission, donations welcome.
