WELCOME to Sunflowers Nursery
Hello, my name is Mrs Povey and I am the Assistant Head of Lower School and Year 1 class teacher at Staines Prep.
Welcome to Nursery! We are so happy you’ll be joining us for this exciting first step in your learning journey.
It is ok if you feel a little bit nervous because many children do when they begin something new. We’ll be here to help you feel happy, safe, and ready to explore.
There are lots of fun things waiting for you, including new friends to meet, songs to sing, games to play, and wonderful things to learn. The Nursery team are really looking forward to meeting you and helping you enjoy every day.
I’m excited to see how you grow, learn and have fun this year.
Warm wishes, Mrs Povey

Wash and dry my hands with some help

What you need for your first day:
All you need for your first day is your rucksack, water bottle, spare clothes and a healthy snack. You will need an afternoon snack if you are staying all day. If you are going to have a nap, you will need to bring bedding.
