MEET THE
Teachers
We are all excited to meet you and start the Reception journey. You may have a few butterflies in your tummy, and that is ok, lots of other children will be feeling the same. We are sure you will love being in Reception and we will support you every step of the way.
You are going to have so much fun learning and making lots of new friends. This year there will be lots of exciting things to do each day, including building, painting, counting, singing, sharing stories, and playing together both inside and outside.
On your first day your grown up will bring you to your classroom where we will greet you with a big smile. You will say goodbye to your grown up and then you will hang your blazer on your peg, put your rucksack, snack box and water bottle away in the classroom and then you will be ready to explore all the wonderful activities.
We cannot wait to meet you and begin our year of learning and fun!

SCHOOL
Day
The school gates open at 8.30am and once you have arrived and are settled you can choose from lots of activities in the classroom to do.
What will you choose?
At 8.45am we tidy the activities away and we sit on the carpet ready to take the register. Then we find out what we will be learning today.
During our morning lesson we learn through doing all sorts of different activities such as role play, construction and art. After our morning lesson we go outside for breaktime, then after play we have a snack in our classrooms.
After our snack, we carry on our learning until it is lunchtime. Before we head off for lunch we wash our hands.
Lunch takes place in the dining hall and we get to sit with all of our friends in Reception.
Once we have finished lunch we go outside to play until it is time for our afternoon lessons
We also have another breaktime in the afternoon. At the end of the day, we have a story and get ready to go home.

Music in the Music Room
