The county minutes in October 1947 show that Vice Presidents of the county were now to be appointed. E Elias and RMW Pritchard, together with the retiring President A Gordon Jones were the first Vice Presidents. For many years until 1979 the retiring President was elected automatically as a Vice President.
In 1980 when the Executive Committee was reconstituted, the retiring President became solely a ‘Past President’ and Vice Presidents then became those individuals that had done much for the county but had not been elected as President.
