Welcome to Giving at St. Martin’s Episcopal School

Like most independent schools, St. Martin’s relies on philanthropic support from our community, which is essential for sustaining and enhancing our exceptional programs while advancing our mission. Your generosity helps us achieve excellence and continue growing. We invite you to be a part of our journey!

Non-Tuition Income

Each giving area is important and has a purpose and a priority. Your family will be encouraged to support one or more throughout your time here at SMES.

Support from alumni, parents, grandparents, and friends strengthens us today while ensuring a solid tomorrow. We welcome everyone to actively participate in the life of our school!

The St. Martin’s Fund (SMF): Our annual giving campaign provides critical support for the annual operating budget.

Georgia GOAL: A state tax-credit program offering need-based financial assistance. GOAL is not considered a philanthropic gift to The SMF, but is a unique opportunity to redirect a portion of your state tax liability.

Annual Golf Tournament: Benefits the SMES Endowment. The SMES Endowment Fund is a sustainable funding source that provides long-term financial stability for SMES.

PTO: Supports the Teacher Fund, and community events like the biennial gala, Fall Festival, Warrior Run, Daughters Dance, Sons Event, and Teacher Appreciation Week.

Planned Giving: Estate plans through gifts by will, life insurance, charitable annuities, trusts or other planned gifts. Donor selects the area of designation.

Capital Campaigns: Every few years, special fundraising initiatives for infrastructure and capital needs.

Together, these contributions provide financial flexibility and help maintain a balanced budget.

The St. Martin’s Fund

“We support The St. Martin’s Fund because it is our way of expressing thankfulness for a learning experience that has been so positive for our kids. We hope our gift allows future classes to continue to have the best experiences SMES can provide.”

FAQ

Why doesn’t tuition cover all the expenses of the school?

Like most independent schools, tuition alone does not cover the full cost of educating each student. Contributions to The St. Martin’s Fund bridge the gap to cover the actual operating budget, keeping tuition competitive and supporting important programs and improvements. Plus, your gifts are tax-deductible.

How does my child benefit from my gift?

Your gift enhances every aspect of St. Martin’s, from small class sizes to exceptional academic and co-curricular programs, all within a nurturing, Christian environment.

Why does 100% participation really matter?

Our faculty, staff, and trustees boast a 100% giving participation

High participation rates demonstrate the commitment of the St. Martin’s community to our mission, making us more attractive to grantmaking organizations. Our school boasts a strong tradition of reaching 100% trustee, faculty, and staff giving, and we encourage 100% parent participation annually.
